The 6978 route is the prosecution route -

Along The Sea Wall.

Up a cycle path for 0.4 miles.

Down Pages Lane.

Both sides need to accept this.

None of us are disputing that

However your source doesn't describe

The terrain

The fields

The actual route

The vicinity

Google satellite does however. Which makes your pages lane claim fail. And fail bigstyle.

And that's before we even mention de'ath or darkness

I will be surprised if ILB says any of the prosecution route is not accessible when he visits it.

This will refute a lot of other people over the last 39 years.

I look forward to his report and photos.

At present Google Maps is doing a good job. Just a pity Google 3D didn't go down Pages Lane.

Sorry I don't know what you are talking about again.

All you did was post a photo of a bit of the route. Then posted a photo of a field.

For me Google Maps Satellite gives an excellent view of the route.

Either ILB is playing dumb on purpose.

Or he doesn't realise that roads can merge into cycle ways. This sort of thing will often happen in the country.

In language you will understand I can't just look at a squiggly line and make assumptions.

So I look at a satalite aerial view and garner more fulfilling knowledge.

As said route 6978 is on Google Maps Satellite. In my view giving an excellent view.

For me Google Maps Satellite clearly shows Pages Lane merging into a wide cycle/walk way. Which would be common in the country. It leads to The Sea Wall.

But appreciate ILB will never accept this as it makes Bamber's cycle ride easy.

Seems Adam has lot the plot completely.

I'm not a medical professional and perhaps an intervention is required.

The issue is only 0.4 miles - The Sea Wall to Pages Lane.

If I thought he would have to cycle or carry the bike across fields, I would say so.

However Google Maps Satellite shows the path to be wide and an extension of Pages Lane. So certainly bike friendly.

Even the OS have the pathway as a route.

Seems from my perspective Google satellite has put the theory to bed for good.

The prosecution must have been wrong for the last 39 years. They are the ones saying he cycled the cycle path from The Sea Wall to Pages Lane. The defence not disputing.

I enlarged Google Maps satellite. The cycle path looks about as wide as a car. Which is no surprise for a gap between fields on farm land.

The terrain will be fine for cycling.

But if your future photos show different, please post them.

Well the photo shows pages lane evaporating into fields.

Which RB and Bamber himself confirmed.

Pages Lane merges into a cycle path. This runs along the side of fields to The Sea Wall.

My estimate after enlarging Google Maps satellite is the cycle path is about as wide as a car. It is 0.4 miles long.

This is the prosecution route. As on the Official Site & Crmes that Shook Britain video.

After enlarging Google Maps Satallite, my view is the cycle path is of good terrain.

This would not be surprising as it is path to either Pages Lane or The Sea Wall. Depending on which direction you cycle.

But could be wrong.

ILB will provide photos and give more details on the terrain after his visit.
