I don't think Mrs D. knew any more about the sea wall that that which extended to the boundries of Osea Camp. There was no need for JB to have been anywhere near Osea Camp. Why, with an already difficult cycle ride facing him, would he have chosen to ride a couple? of miles out of his way, in the wrong direction, only to then turn round and go over the same ground, when he could have gone straight to his destination from the start? The irony is, had he cycled towards Osea Camp, there'd have been a far greater risk of being seen by late night revellers/anglers who were resident at the camp.
