It's clear from the aerial view if he went via the sea wall he would have to cycle fields which at 2am is just not feasible.

Are you able to digest the gaps between fields are pathways. So people do not have to walk on fields.

Certainly walking friendly. Most probably cycle friendly.

As far as cycling across fields goes. Doubt he needed to.

Suspect some fields could be cycled. Some couldn't.

Bamber would know the best route. He worked on the land!

Not sure why ILB posted a photo of Pages Lane. It's a lane so can be cycled.

The quickest pathway route from The Sea Wall to Pages Lane is only 0.4 miles. If that is cycle friendly then the whole journey is cycle friendly.

I didn't post a photo of pages lane.

I posted an aerial view photo of WHF and the surrounding acres.

Of course pages lane can be cycled.

When accessed via the road.

There is a left turn pathway that is a straight line to Pages Lane. Measuring 0.4 miles.

If that is cycle friendly, then that would be the perfect route.

I look forward to your report.

The pathways around fields will certainly be walker friendly. Farmers & the public can walk around  crops rather than on fields.

Obviously walker friendly = cycle friendly.

Disagree.

Also depends on direction

Goldhanger is west to east.

In fact interesting...

Not every fields have walkways.

Need exact coordinates to establish from the aerial view

Very interesting.

From Google Maps & the internet, it does seem like a straight forward 20 minute cycle ride. Espescially for Bamber who lived, worked & grew up there.

The Sea Wall has good terrain.

Then it is a case of turning left at the appropriate time & cycling on the field footpaths until reaching Pages Lane. Ideally on the shortest route pathway of only 0.4 miles.

Disappointing supporters don't take the defence approach - 'possible but no evidence he did'.

You have never been to the sea wall.

Stop going off Wilkinson

Get yourself down there. You live closer to it then I do.

Not having a driving licence is a poor excuse.

Jump on a train.
