   It is a preposterous notion believed by those who want to believe. You or I could convert to Judaism and therefore become a Jew. Ethiopian Jews are clearly not the same race as Ashkenazi Jews. Anyone of any race can convert to Judaism so it self evidently is not a race.

'Israelites' were first mentioned around the time of Seti II. They were a monotheistic breakaway from canannites. Their name for God was Yahweh.

Not sure if their origins go back even further. As I think 'Abraham' is from an earlier period.

well theres dispute on it but id say becouse you can convert to  judism you cant convert to a race
