Bamber would prefer he called Julie after the police as he said he 'immediately called the police'.

The point of reference is when she is walking round the block with Jeremy. She claims they went through the statements which really means she claims Jeremy had asked her what she said in her statement. It doesn't say he told her what to say

You don't go through police statements once you have given them as a witness.They wouldn't have had a copy to compare them. Statements are taken by police. Even if this is true he is just asking what she said.

If she claims what she says is true then she would know it was either Jeremy or MM who is responsible.

I don't believe it was one. I think she was told to note down anything she remembered and used a previously unused diary. This may explain why, after the middle of the year, her first entries written were in January.

The general theme of the diaries in direct relation in regards to her and Bamber is that according to Julie she is ' can't cope anymore' ' I wanted out' and that Bamber is walking around with a smile on his face and enjoying himself without a care in the world.

Yet Bamber was on tranquilizers on the immediate aftermath. And in Colin's book in search of the rainbow end which I have recently started reading he states that post massacre when he went to Colin's that Bamber was drinking heavily and constantly crashing out on the sofa sleeping alone. That's not a confident man enjoying life. That's a troubled one trying to get an escapism.

If the diary had said something like

' Jeremy asked me to say I phoned him at 3.30am'

' Jeremy kept putting me under pressure'

Then maybe it would seem believable.

It's certainly for someone else's eyes as the saying goes. And it's to try to paint Bamber in a negative light. Even referencing his funeral clothes costs.

Think the diary had him telling her it was 'an open & shut case'. Will have to check.
