Funniest Bews interview I saw was when he said Bamber was offerring him information about weapons, Sheila's capabilities & what may have happened.

Bews had been a member of CID previously and was a trained firearm officer according to the interview.

Why he went back to uniform I guess was either a personal choice or something else. Totally unrelated anyway

I don't think he had any involvement in a cover-up. He comes across as a down-to-earth person.
