I would guess it depends on France, which seems to be the dominant force behind the EU throne. Maybe if we scratched their backs accepting more immigrants from Calais they might smooth things out with the ridiculous 90-day residence rule.

I watched a video of a guy who was selling up to move to South America Steve, i can't find it now.

Sit back and watch this Video Steve, he's a guy i follow on Youtube called the Brompton Traveller, he inspired me to go down the Brompton Route after riding my son's Brompton around London.  I don't know if youv'e considered the fact, you can venture around Europe using an Interrail card, this is what i'm purchasing for June.   It gives you rail travel all day and you can purchase how many days or months you want to travel at a discounted price. 

The Brompton, British made and sells about 45,000 units a year, they are just moving Factory to Kent from West London.  They were always classed as a City Bike, but now they do the 6 speed and even 12 speed explore bike, folds up and down in 20 seconds and take on the train for free without booking.
