It is well documented, that 'David Boutflour' had found a gun silencer on Saturday  the '10th August 1985' in a firearms cupboard of the downstairs office at the scene! The silencer was a model 'Parker Hale type. The length of it from top to bottom was unspecified, as was the number of internal metal baffle plates it had got. The silencer was concealed in an ammunition box, which also contained a telescopic site for Mr Bambers .22 semi-automatic rifle, together with some live rounds of .22 ammunition.

At that time the container, telescopic site and live rounds of ammunition should have attracted the following exhibit references, 'DRB/1' (silencer), 'DRB/2' (telescopic site', 'DRB/3' (live rounds of .22 ammunition). The amunition box , ('DRB/4')..

Fast forward one month, from the 10th August 1985, to the 10th September  1985, when  'Ann Eaton' handed over to 'DS Oakey' the same silencer, telescopic site, live rounds of live .22 rounds of ammunition ition, and of course the ammunition box inside which had been concealed. Each item had a  completely  different exhibit reference, that it had been given ('AE/1','2','3', and '4') and in due course, some of these already altered 'exhibit references', were altered again to 'CAE/1','CAE/2' and 'CAE/3',

'ANN Eaton actually handed these items over to 'DS Oakey' on the '11th September 1985'. Then, 'lo and behold' because 'David Boutflour got in on the act, by telephoning Essex police, on the '12th September 1985' to tell them that 'He had found the silencer' - despite the fact, that they already found 'it' (the very same one) a month earlier!!!l

This revisit to the date when the silencer was first found (10th August 1985), in the same location as before by the same person, had more to do with the fact that during the first part of the original police case being along the lines of 'four murders and a suicide', [Scenes of Crime Reference no.] -  ('SC/688/85') was that there were no scratch marks present on the kitchen aga surround until a longtime afterwards [9th or 10th September 1985, no less, just in time for 'Ann Eatons' handing over of the same silencer as before, only this time the silencer had been deliberately contaminated with particles of red paint ingrained onto the end of the silencer muzzle. Also, it had been contaminated with the blood group activity which led to the finger of guilt pointing toward and upon ' Jeremy Bambers' involvement in all five murders!

This is why  so many official documents and photographs belonging to, or being a party to, that which has become defensive, and to which they have either, 'not been disclosed', are 'lost', or 'have been destroyed'!

Suddenly 'a blinding streak of bright sunshine' lights up a dark horizon, filling the once darkened landscape with fresh hope for the future!
