Forgot to mention Grahame. If the case interests your son,I can recommend the book Muscle,by Carlton Leach. He was a good friend of Tuckers, and there is a little about the rettendon murders in there.
Thanks Tyler. I'll let him know. I'm not interested in it myself. I remember the Retendon murders and heard about it being connected with the death of Leah Betts somehow. But beyond that I'm not really interested in gangsters and drug dealers. And tell you the truth I don't want to know much about them.

I agree Grahame.Alot of Essex people were relieved when those 3 were taken out. They were getting out of control and were very nasty characters indeed!

Not even their mobile phone signals that put them in the right place at the right time?

Jaymo.Hi by the way.

Your statement of Steele and Whomes being sold down the river by Darren Nichols.
I take it that you believe them to be innocent? Can I ask why?

The name Jessie Gale,Canning town mob.
Tucker, Tate and Rolfe were also allegedly into £25,000 with none other than Kenny Noye.

Phone evidence would suggest that Mick Steele and Jack Whomes didn't do it.

Darren Nicholls the guy who's evidence helped convict Steele and Whomes is unreliable to say the least. He was an informant and worked with a dodgy copper called DC Wolfgand Bird.

During his time in custody Nicholls version of events change on several occasions on top of that he managed to negotiate a book deal and seal an advance of £14,000.( Gosh this sounds a lot like Julie Mugford and the NOTW.) Whilst in protective custody who is also alleged to have told his cell mate that his evidence was concocted to help convict Whomes and Steele. There is a sworn affidavit to this effect.

Nicholls never served a sentence for his crimes, he was released after his time on remand, his identity was changed. All though he was  arrested in Newcastle circa 2006-7

Yes,I know about the connection with Noye.I have been led to believe that he ordered the slayings due to a dodgy batch of drugs that Noye had stumped up the cash for.

Cannabis bought over from Holland by Steele and Whomes and found to be duff.Tate borrowed the money with a promise of a profit.

It did look like Kent 3 Essex nil.

Tri cell from Workhouse Lane supported Whomes account of where he used his phone.

bit of a strange case happened up here a few months ago.

2 men were found  in the road, both were severely beaten to death and just left or dumped there.

i think the police are still appealing for information.

In the last documentary by Bernard Omahoney he claims it was Steele and Wholmes all along. Makes him look rather silly when for almost two decades he said he knew who done it and it's not Steele or Wholmes.
