Apologies if all this is old hat to those that have been here years but as a newbie I found the above interesting and for a change the handwriting is easy to decipher. 

Anyway Mr Boutflour snr suggests that Brett Collins was Bamber's accomplice.  The family then highlight an envelope containing cash from a Mr MacDonald (spelling ?) in Scotland re cash for drugs from Bamber.  I wonder if this is how the local Matthew MacDonald (spelling ?) came to the fore ie Mr Boutflour suspected Bamber had an accomplice and someone with the name of MacDonald became a possible candidate?

In Brett Collins's interview with EP he was asked about a man in Scotland to which Brett answered by saying " he only knows that JB sometimes sent him some dope ". Other than that Brett knew nothing.

Thanks.  The notes taken by DC Barlow in relation to a man called McDonald (spelling?) and Brett as Bamber's accomplice (info supplied by the family) are dated 20th Aug.  Brett's interview where he was asked about a Matthew is dated 8th Sept.  So my guess is that this is how the hitman/Matthew MacDonald evolved.

They must have known as here he is being asked to check the significance of the opened page?
