By reference to 'DI Cooks' pocketbook, witness statements, interview records of himself by 'the City of London' police ('COLP') and trial transcipt', it becomes apparent that he lied about certain matters of evidence, which ultimately paved the way towards helping to secure a conviction against 'Jeremy Bamber' for all five murders of his family!
In this respect, he lied at various times, when his account was being recorded in various stages, including, a claim made by himself, that at the time he and his 'SOCO' unit took charge of the farmhouse, and the bodies of the five victims, that nothing had been touched, moved, or restaged by any other person beforehand!. Insofar as 'Sheila' s body is / was concerned, it had remained in position from the moment members of the firearms team discovered her body, there on the main bedroom floor [However, ir remains 'unexplained' as to how 'Sheila Caffells' body could possibly have been amongst the three dead bodies had been found upstairs, considering, that two bodies had previously (already) been accounted for in police radio message log contents that were passed and received on several timed occasions between 7.35am, 7.37am, 7.38am, 7.41am, and 7.42am?
'Cook' had no involvement with the bodies of any of the five victims, prior to 10.00 O'clock, and by which time, there was reportedly only one dead body downstairs at the farmhouse, which was a male body, none other than, 'Neville Bamber' [whereas on several occasions, from 7.35am, onwards 'two bodies' for example, 'the body of one dead male' , and 'the body of one female' , 'found upon entry to the kitchen']..
