Hi all, not been on here properly for years. I have forgotten more on the Bamber case than I remember.
So, in the last few years I have a granddaughter, she's 2 in November. I have a grandson due at the beginning of August.  I passed my driving test in September I passed first time! Though the test had been cancelled 3 times due to Covid.
I'm still working to death. Hope everyone on here is well

Hi Andrea, I remember you from when you used to post before,  double  congratulations on passing your Driving test and your Granddaughter.  Driving test isn’t easy now days, I would say the pass rate is at it lowest, I’m teaching my granddaughter at the moment, i can’t remember how many times she’s had her theory cancelled, I used to do driving instructing at one time, now you’ve passed look up your local IAM and get free advanced tuition?

Hi Real Justice, thanks for the welcome back.
I'm a nervous driver to be honest, I tend to only drive on routes I'm familiar with, which tends to be going to work, my partners place or my sons.
My sister failed her test a few months before I took mine, I was gutted for her as she loves driving.
Was thinking of doing some advanced driving course as a way of building up confidence

I was diagnosed with stage 2 COPD in 2018, I had already given up smoking a few months previously.

Sorry to hear that Andrea. I don't know a great deal about it but I know it's not a condition to take lightly. I hope you're ok. My partner had her first grandchild not too far back. He's great, I love spending time with him.

Hi Andrea, the IAM is a good place to start, they are free lessons and they will build your confidence up. I was a pass plus instructor do they still do that as well?

Yes, I think they still do pass plus courses.
I just need to get out of my comfort zone. Like I said I just stick to roads I'm familiar with. But I've heard its quite common among new drivers. At least I'm not alone 😀

I'm on medication for the rest of my life now.
I had my granddaughter on Saturday fior the day and she just brightens it up. I cant wait for my grandson to arrive in August
