Adam as far as I am aware Crispy slept near the stove in the kitchen I think a small dog basket is visible there.

Crispy would still have barked. Those dogs can hear a pin drop and besides the fact that the dog didn't like him it would have had hold of his foot/ankle if he'd attempted to have got through a window. Either way the household would have been disturbed.
everyone agrees that crispy was old maybe the senses were not that sharp.i also agree with caroline that jb didnt breakin ,why make two trips when you can do it in one criminally makes a lot of sense

good point susan, but as crispy didnt like jb the dog might have made growling noises when jb went downstairs to retrieve the rifle ,some dogs will growl and bark at any movement,my own rotti grassed my son up when he was 16yrs. coming home late he was avoiding waking anyone that is until my rooti who in my bedroom with the door shut started whining and barking,i got up to have alook and there was my son shoes in hand creeping up the stairs to his bedroom, had it not been for the dog i would not have known what time he had come home.x

sami I see your point and I bet your son got a shock when you caught him in the act. :))  None of us really know what happened that horrendous night but maybe JB was hiding somewhere downstairs or maybe he said he would stay over to be on the job early next day I think I am right that Caroline brought points up similar or was he working late and said he would stay over sami we can only come up with different ideas some will be right some way off the mark x

So therefore I don't think anyone, with hand on heart, can say 100% that Jeremy committed those murders.

Anne reiterates in her statement about the dog, ‘‘this is the small dog HE had put down?  Not her He.

It's not that Jan, it#s like no matter what - there is always an excuse for Bamber. Even Colin is now being used - seriously, not cool.

I did not make an excuse for Bamber - don't think the dog should have been put down - however it  did not just hate Bamber because he did the murders . That is stretching it too far. The dog was known for nipping everyones ankles .

Did she twist his arm? He didn't want it. He didn't live a life style which included dogs and from the sounds of it, had no intention of doing so.

yes perhaps the police should have checked(:

Anne noted about Jeremys hands and arms as obviously the police forgot to check that as well .
