I'm surprised there aren't more conflicting statements. Some of the statements contain word for word what someone said, along with pretty exact times and dates. People remember things, and then remember something else. They have to really think about what date and time something happened, and they change their mind. I don't think that people spend all day looking at the time whenever something happens or when something is said.

What do you think of Jerrmy's police interviews?

In what respect?

A bit evasive -

Over 30 'No comments' & 'can't remembers'. Over 10 'don't knows' & 'can't say'.

Several one word answers as well as vague answers such as 'not really', 'I think so'  & 'less than 40 but more than 10 !'

-------

The interview was written down. Stan Jones saying this gave Bamber the chance to anticipate the next question.

Jones says if the interview was recorded Bamber would have confessed. I do not agree with that as he is very determined.

Having never been interviewed -in any official capacity- by police, I appreciate that I have no idea what it might feel like. On those occasions I have, I've never experienced anything but courtesy. I do understand good manners and correct behaviour and it seems to me that Jeremy was sadly lacking. Might he have been deliberately provocative? If not, to me, the answers he gives make him appear guilty. Did the 'ector' in him bring out the "role player"? Was he amusing himself? Had he been innocent, why the need for evasiveness? He -guilty/innocent- was in a hole. He clearly didn't know when to stop digging.

The "no comments" are a bit strange, but the rest is reasonable. Do you remember everything you said or did?

if he’d had any sense he would have said no comment to every question.

He didn't know if Julie knew he could enter the farm through a window. And couldn't remember how long he was on the tracker that day. This makes him more likely the killer than the psychotic person who was found in a locked house with the murder weapon on them.

Are you smoking crack? that's crazy.
