Like you said Steve he was a career criminal

He sold eight vehicles in 12 months, which exceeded the limit of six allowed under the Motor Vehicle Sales Act.

The $30,000 fine last month was the largest imposed under the act, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment said.

Fines for unregistered vehicle trading usually average about $4600.

Ministry registries integrity and enforcement team manager Karla Flood said the heavy penalty reflected the fact this was the man's fifth conviction since 2006 for the same offence.

"This defendant continued to sell motor vehicles for several years, despite several previous convictions for selling motor vehicles without being registered," she said.
so enlighten me to what Collins activities 30 years down the line in New Zealand have to do with Jeremy Bamber ....

I totally agree.  It is completely irrelevant.
Totally agree with you NGB, but very interesting on a discussion forum 🙈🙈🙈. I do think though the police didn’t follow up on the unsavoury character Brett Collins, they were satisfied with Julie as a witness.  In contrast we have the benefit of talking about the past and the future, what I was leading up to, the fact that the two unsavoury characters that Bamber associated with at a close time before and after the murders is very relevant to me, Brett and Julie, who I believe both knew of Bamber's intentions.  The one that came forward obviously the one that got jilted by Bamber, Julie, look at the path she later took in life compared to the path Brett took in life.  I’m in no way sticking up for Julie, but maybe Julie did see right in the end where as Brett is still tormented by it?

Merry Christmas to you NGB and I do appreciate you taking the time to debate with me and I do realise it’s like me getting in the boxing ring with Mike Tyson 😂😂😂

I couldn't agree more RJ. I do understand why there are those who want to discuss "THE CASE" in isolation because that's what they're interested in. I see a much bigger picture and it's this which contributes to what ultimately occurred. So, yes, I want to know about the friends, families, and relationships which influenced what may have been inevitable.

I believe it is.
Hi NGB I’ve removed a post of mine which said Brett hadn’t discussed his visit to Amsterdam with the police, I’ve later found out he did tell them.  🙈

At the time, nobody claimed he drove slowly, and nothing suggests that he drove slowly.
pc bewes stated that if jb had been going any slower he would have been stationery
So you are asserting he contradicted what he had stated (see image below) in his original statement of 16th August 1985?

just like the killer jb ,pc bewes is allowed to state things he missed out in his original statement.dont think he would ever have got a call out like that morning, before and since.so i have NO PROBLEMS believing his story. 8)

I'm not sure I understand you... which was correct, his original "about 30 mph" story in his formal statement or his alleged later flippant remark that if Jeremy had been travelling any slower, he'd have been stationary?

the second account.but that wont suit you because  anyone whos involved in a murder enquiry must be 100% right first time and cannot add to it.which is total rubbish even police remember things after the event, can you understand now

How can "driving slowly (any slower and he would have been stationary)" be a correct addition to driving at about 30 mph?

I don't see that it's suspicious if Jeremy was driving slowly. His cousin said he was normally a fast driver. Maybe he was, but this was at night, and he may well have not wanted to arrive there before the police because he was afraid of what he might find. Maybe he was just scared to go there on his own.

If he's guilty, what is the relevance of him driving slowly?
