I only ever knew my old aunts dressed in long black dresses, white aprons and mop caps and that was in the early 40's. And a huge grandfather clock which scared me to death when it chimed.
Mum in 1940's attire---complete with hat. Me in satin. Ringlets and all.

Mmm. It very much depends, Sami. There ARE those possessed of an arrogance that comes from a sense of entitlement, but thankfully, there are also those, often higher up the scale, who have humility born out of a sense privilege which must never be taken for granted.

I do find this nature versus nurture debate fascinating, wondering what the future would have held for Sheila and Jeremy had they stayed put with their birth parents or adopted by a different set of parents. Just look at the Royal Family and how it's drummed into them from an early age how privileged they are, yet you can still get a black sheep if you look hard enough when the mask slips.

Steve, the problem comes through being bought up to DO, as in, one's duty, whilst not being allowed space to FEEL -doing and feeling are uncomfortably incompatible bedfellows.
