But from a neck wound? Wouldn't the blood fall down her front? And neck?
That would depend on the position of the body and whether the wound was partially closed due to the position of the body or due to already congealed blood.

I have noticed that those who believe in JBs guilt, also  tend to regard Roger Wilkes book "Blood Relations as their "bible"! As in that what has been written is gospel.Well,it clearly states in that book,on more than one occasion, that Anthony Pargeters rifle was ALSO an anshutz (as used to carry out the muders). Is this true?

No, Pargeter's rifle was a Brno .22 rimfire.  It fired the same type of ammunition as Nevill's Anschutz and also had a Parker Hale sound moderator.  The main difference between the two rifles was that The Brno was bolt action whereas the Anschutz was semiautomatic.

Thank you NGB. I think Wilkes book is not so credible if he made blunders such as this one.  >:(

It remains a possibilty that the barrel of Anthony Pargeters .22 Bruno bolt action rifle, at the time it was seized by COLP, (1991) and tested, to see if it could have fired any of the 10 crime scene bullets that could not be linked to the Bamber rifle, had been changed, swapped over, so that it was impossible to match any of the rogue bullets which were under review - no check has yet been made, to see if the original barrel was still on the gun at the time COLP carried out these checks?

If you disregard the silencer issue, which seems to go nowhere and prove nothing, and find no evidence of Ralph's call to the police, which there doesn't seem to be, where does that leave us?

Shona

It leaves us with the following………

In the beginning –

A telephone call between Jeremy and Julie which both sides agree took place. The content of this conversation remains in dispute. However, Jeremy admits making this telephone call.

Julie’s flatmates testified that they heard the phone ringing at ‘about 3.a.m.,’ ‘3.12 a.m.,’ and ‘two-something”.

A telephone call between Jeremy and Essex police which both sides agree took place. Jeremy admits making this telephone call. There is an Essex police log for this telephone call. However, there is some dispute about the timing detailed in this log. The log details - Time Received 03.36 am.

Jeremy has verbally detailed that it was a telephone call from Nevill that wakes him up around 3.15 / 3.30 am. This can be listened to as this audio recording is in the public domain. This recording is on the Mirror news website.

Jeremy also confirms in the recording that the telephone line went dead whilst he was speaking to Nevill, he tried to call back but got the engaged tone at least twice more. Jeremy’s last words in the recording being ‘……..and that’s when I rang the police.’

The Crimes that Shock Britain TV programme depicted and detailed Jeremy being awoken by a telephone call from Nevill.

Jeremy had a meeting with a journalist called David James Smith during an approved arranged visit to Full Sutton Prison. David James Smith was writing for the Sunday Times magazine and wrote the following in his article  –

‘Bamber called the Essex Police in the early hours of August 7. He did not dial 999, but rang through to the local station at Chelmsford at around half-three. “You’ve got to help me” he said “My father has just rung me and said, “Please come over. Your sister has gone crazy and has got the gun.” Then the line went dead. Jeremy said he tried calling back but could not get a reply.’

At the end of the day it may all come down to Jeremy’s word against those of three unrelated flatmates.

And there's me thinking this was going to be a link to 'the' actual phone call  :-[.

It's interesting that he said he phoned Julie before he went to bed.  It's the first time I've heard that.

The whole explanation is unfathomable.

The line could only have gone dead if someone had either replaced the receiver on the cradle or pushed the cradle down to cancel the call.   Neville would not have done this.

Please also note that Jeremy never reported any interference with Nevill when he spoke to him, no fear in his voice and no commotion which could suggest an intruder was about to take over the telephone.  The line was perfectly serviceable when the GPO operator checked it and police were able to listen in on events as the events unfolded.

Jeremy explanation of the alleged phone call is utter nonsense, I for one don't believe it ever took place.

Jeremy did tell the police that his dad sounded really frightened or scared
