Why do you ask ?

As since I joined there are more people trying to look for ways to keep Jeremy convicted as opposed to getting him a third appeal and get the convictions overturned

I don't understand why the window catch issue is being seen as of so much interest. If the window with the "6 o'clock" handle (which I was unaware of until recently) could open sufficiently for a person to get through it, that means that they could easily leave via it after opening the top window as well, reach into the kitchen via the main window to replace any disturbed items, and then set the window's locking bar to fall when the window was shut and banged. Finally, they could reach through the top window to move the handle of the other window to the 6 o'clock position and also set the top window's locking bar to fall when that window was banged shut. In that way, they could leave quite quickly, leaving both windows fully secured, with no signs that they were secured from the outside. I doubt that anyone ever did this, but it's certainly a possibility if the main window could open far enough for a person to step through it.
Isn't there any record of DNA fingerprints being taken from these window handles? If not why not? surely any SOCO worth their salt would check points of entry and exit?

A full finger print examination of the house was never carried out, I think I read it would have taken about 3 days?  They were lead to believe it was a murder suicide so this limited the investigation.  Don't forget Bamber had been planning this for a long time, wearing gloves would had left no finger prints anyway, but even if he had left prints he covered his tracks by saying he had used the window for this means anyway, just like when he said he loaded the rifle to go shoot rabbits.

The housekeeper tesified that fixed items around the kitchen window had been moved. This was done by Bamber prior to exit.

The items on my kitchen window shelf are a kitchen roll holder, utensil holder, square saucer which has a large tin holding washing up liquid and brush.

These are permanently there. So if moved in a WHF situation, would highlight a kitchen window exit or entrance. There is no reason for the police to move these prior to crime scene photos being taken.

EP were re-enacting the murder scene to see if it was possible that the window could have been used.

I think a lot of people joined thinking it was a MOJ realising after all it is anything but a MOJ.  People have stayed on the forum because of interest and knowledge of the case and friendships, it's not looking for ways to keep Bamber convicted, that is out of our hands,it's speaking up for the family and this forum allows us to do that.

If you cross reference the year of these murders, with the year that DNA profiling was first used in a criminal case, then the answer to your question will reveal itself to you.

He didn't claim he had ever entered or exited via the kitchen window.

This should tell the CT that their window latch idea is on a hiding to nowhere. He freely admits to having entered just about every downstairs window at one time or another.
