That's how it looked here Patti, but nowhere near as dark as I remember it being in 1999. However, there was still that eerie coldness and a slight breeze, and all the birds that were perched here and there had vanished.
It does really prove that we can't survive without the brightness and heat of the sun. Nothing would grow.

P.S. I was looking through a few thicknesses of net curtain. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D It worked.

That is so true Lookout. Just imagine how the world felt when the world had no summer in 1815/19 can't remember the exact year...Thousands of people died, and it snowed in the height of summer, but the snow was red and brown...all crops failed.  It must have been a dreadful time.  :'(

Not had total darkness but had to put the light on because I can't see the keyboard, but I'm in the back of the house and its generally darker than the front of the house which is south facing. It will start to get lighter soon...

Whats happening in Denmark?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

We are further east, so nothing special here, just a little bit, besides it was cloudy. I was very busy at the time, but I did notice that it got darker. Fascinating.
People say it god ice cold in an instant, just goes to show how important our sun is. A bit scary too.
