The other odd thing, is that PC Saxby was in control of patrol car, CA07, via which the all important radio messages were past between officers at the scene. So, Saxby himself was aware that at 7.37am, a message was passed through the patrol car in which Saxby was sat, "THE BODY OF ONE DEAD MALE, and THE BODY OF ONE DEAD FEMALE FOUND UPON ENTRY", he would also be aware that a minute later, another message was passed from m the scene to the control room through the radio situated in patrol car CA07 in which Saxby, was sat (7.38am), "ONE DEAD MALE, ONE DEAD FEMALE". As if that wasn't enough to convince everyone that the body of a dead male, and the body of a dead female, found upon entry to the premises, and that all the police at the scene and back at the control room (including Saxby himself) knew that two bodies were found upon entry, none more certain than when at 7.42am, a further radio message was transmitted via Saxbys patrol car radio, "CAN SOMEBODY CONTACT THE POLICE SURGEON, AND THE CORONERS OFFICER REGARDING TWO BODIES"...
Now, at this s time, Jeremy was at the patrol car with Saxby as these radio message transmissions were being sent from the scene to the control room, so it should city me as no surprise, that by the time another message timed at 8.10am was relayed to the control room from the scene via CA07, "AFTER A THOROUGH SEARCH, A FURTHER THREE BODIES FOUND UPSTAIRS. FIVE DEAD IN TOTAL", that it was at this point that Jeremy got the idea in his head, that the police who had gone into the farmhouse carrying guns must have shot everyone dead - because Jeremy and police had seen someone moving around in an upstairs bedroom. Police had been dealing with the situation as a siege, and whilst Jeremy had been in the grounds of the farmhouse in company of police, or at the forward control point in a nearby outbuilding, he had not heard any shots being fired, nor was he given any indication that any shots had been fired. So, upon being told that all his family inside were all dead, he must have automatically assumed police had shot them...
