I wonder if I am mis-reading that

blood soaked and blood stained ? Blood staining not apparent on photos ?

So staining is different to soaking ?

but no evidence of the burns on the jacket either?

I cant really see either of Sheila or Jeremy  trying to put on pyjama top and trousers? It does not really make sense does it?

perhaps someone was trying to put pyjama bottoms on? rather than take them off ? but failed?

Its all a bit strange. Also was there not a cushion as if to soak up blood - why would you do that after such a brutal attack?

There were cushions on the floor but it's not clear why. I have a theory but you won't like it  ;D

I was thinking that perhaps the kitchen scene was staged and there was no fight with Neville? After Neville had died - the killer made it look as though 'someone had gone crazy with a gun'?

Unless Neville was attacked when he was at his most vulnerable? Just out of the shower or getting ready for bed? Half dressed for bed or naked?

shouldn't they be able to tell that though if injurys are inflicted after death i think they can tell that.

What injuries? I was talking about breaking the light fitting and the disruption etc.

How high was the light fitting in relation to a rifle held high ? The person holding up the rifle would be tall too ?

Jeremy is about 6ft but the light fitting isn't that high.

Floor to ceiling height X height of person X length of rifle minus the silencer ? A person small in stature wouldn't have reached the ceiling light without a silencer fitted.

As I see it,the light was damaged by the rifle being held high and out of reach of the person trying to grab it off the person who held it. A struggle in that respect in trying to retrieve the rifle, but not of the viciousness which has been described,as the overturned chairs, broken crockery and spilled sugar, happened when the firearms team went in ( though how,or why,I fail to understand if they'd used the " stealth " that they'd purported to have done ) More like bulls in a china shop.

Lots of innocent supporters have argued that a struggle didn't take place - (I even suggested it myself), however, while some of the damage may have been caused by the raid team, some of it looks staged! The plates on the floor near the phone for instance; it looks as though they are there to bolster the notion that Neville was attacked while trying to use the phone. There are no pictures of the light fitting (as far as I can see) but maybe Harters knows where it was/is situated?

Hi Caroline,I'm not sure if,in the past,I saw a picture of the broken glass shade. To my mind,it's possible that Sheila walked over slivers of glass to cause the small blood spots which were found underneath her left ? foot,as photographed a couple of years ago. It wasn't a great amount of blood as you'd come to expect given all the blood which was in and around certain areas.
This being the case,it would have proved that Sheila was in that area at the time.

Hi Lookout - small cuts from glass would have been mentioned at the autopsy because they would prove she was walking around the kitchen. No such cuts were mentioned.

There are two pendant light fittings, one is roughly opposite the door to the spiral stairs and the other is closer to the kitchen sink. It was the one closest to the sink that was damaged (I think :-\ ).

No blood was mentioned either if I remember rightly. In fact,it stated that Sheila was clean, hands and all ?
