The constant use of rhetoric, either in statements or questions does nothing to enhance debate. NO ONE here knows why June didn't throw away a phone or prefer one over the other. NO ONE knows why the police didn't put the phone back on its' cradle.

No one knows why.

But courts & juries discuss facts.

Fact, the kitchen phoned worked but was not plugged in & found hidden underneath magazines.

Fact. The bedroom was found plugged into the kitchen phone socket. Off the hook with no blood attached.

All discussed in court.

Of COURSE!!! It's beyond intelligent reckoning to think that in a HUGELY muddled kitchen, ANY item would be placed in a position where it could immediately be seen.

To the best of my VERY limited technical knowledge, non working phones can be moved to another socket in which they will work.

Why WOULD a phone have blood on it if no blood had been shed?

So Neville phoned Jeremy while fully fit. Then went upstairs to get his 5 shots. So why did he then go back downstairs. And why leave the phone off the hook, Jeremy claiming the call went abruptly dead.

Phones work in some sockets but not in others ? I do not think so.

My own feeling has always been that Sheila never rushed around like a demented dodo. I think she retreated further and further in to herself until "Sheila" ceased to exist and couldn't be "reached" verbally. Witnessing such behaviour would, I imagine, be chilling. It MAY have been around that point that Sheila went -MOVED- WITH gun? from where she'd been to go, WHERE? This may have been the point when the call was made and I think it can be accepted that her behaviour COULD have been described as having "gone crazy" but I don't, for a moment believe Nevill thought she'd use the gun. The chances are that the shooting may have already started by the time Nevill got upstairs and it may have been his intention to draw fire away from June. I can't get away from feeling that any marksman would have made a cleaner job of it AND that only ONE shot was deliberately placed and it was the one received by June and it MAY be that she uttered something which triggered a deeply seated painful and angry memory.

Disussion, yes, opinion, yes.

Making statements  without providing a link upon request. Noooo.

You're the WORST offender for that!! Where is the link to the article you posted earlier? Just posting 'An interesting article' tells the reader nothing about where it came from or about who wrote it.

So what it boils down to is that he was jailed for evidence which was,,and still remains, inconclusive ! Therefore,,he has no right whatsoever to be where he is and it was his relatives who put him there------out of the way so that they could all get on with their lives.Sod Jeremy,,he was never part of the family anyway.

Imagine a judge in his summing up,saying " well it was either one or the other who did it ",,and seeing that Sheila could no longer answer,Jeremy was left with the short straw. This is what the case amounted to. He may as well have tossed a coin for all the time and effort it took. What a disgrace.
My God,,I hope Jeremy " has his day " after this lot.

What on earth was the case built on,,apart from lies and corroboration,,because it certainly wasn't with any forensic evidence !

I think I feel more bitter than the man himself who's been festering in prison for nigh on 30 years.
Bitter at the thought that there was no case to answer.Everything was fabricated so that the police could be proud, and give themselves a pat on the back for securing, albeit, a " false " conviction on the back of an unsolved murder previously. Just to keep themselves in a job,,and pension,of course.
