Grahame,,my argument is that because it's been said that it was either Jeremy or Sheila,,the police didn't,,and haven't come up with any concrete proof either way,,but instead jailed Jeremy on the pretext that " it was probably him ". This in itself is wrong,as the verdict should have been insufficient evidence,surely.?
Let's say for instance Jeremy did do it,,,,there's still no forensic evidence available to have put him away for all these years. You can't incarcerate someone on hearsay.
