I'm sure there would have been quite a commotion during your scenario - so what are June and Sheila doing at this point? And wouldn't it involve Neville making his way past the gunman in order to leave the bedroom?
I agree with this, that Nevill would have to run past the shooter to escape the bedroom. I don't see this as likely. My scenario is that Sheila was up and about and that Nevill went downstairs. Possibly Sheila had hold of the gun and locked herself in the downstairs toilet and Nevill was afraid she would harm herself. He may have called JB either wanting assistance to break down the toilet door or needing someone to protect June and the twins whilst he dealt with Sheila.Whilst on the phone,Sheila may have run upstairs which caused Nevill to end the phonecall, accidently knocking the receiver back off the phone in his haste to go after her. Sheila has begun shooting at June,Nevill appears in the doorway to the bedroom and is also shot. He runs downstairs in order to distract Sheila (or go for help). Perhaps he thought June would make it to the office phone? (which, funnily enough WASN'T hidden by JB)!!

I agree Susie and especially about Crispy.  We have all heard the story how Jeremy ordered the dog to be put down although we should all know by now, thanks to Susie and ngb, that this was not the true story.  However, Jeremy didn't particularly have any connection to Crispy so why if he had entered that house intent on murder did he not shoot Crispy to shut him up and get him out of the way?  It doesn't make sense at all.  On the other hand someone who was psychotic may have seen Crispy as her only friend in the house or may not have even registered the dog was there.  It just doesn't make any sense that Jeremy or any other third party, cold blooded killer, didn't shoot the dog imo.

Hi Maggie

Interestingly if you look at all the childhood pics of SC she's often holding/cuddling animals.  I'll retrieve them...whoosh I'm gone...

I think that is a very reasonable scenario tyler, I could go along with that.  I have it in my mind also that Sheila locked herself in the downstairs loo, not sure why I think this but for some reason it makes sense.  :) :)

Pretty much my own thoughts on what happened.

What do the photos tell you?

SC and JB present.  One fury creature.  One child cuddling/holding fury creature the other looking on.

Poor girl had to supplement animals as a means to love and be loved. How very sad.

Great minds think alike, Tyler. I offered a very similar scenario several months ago. I seem to recall that Steve disagreed with just about everything in it :D

Animals/pets help to fill a void in most cases. I'm not sure that those whose lives are fulfilled,,feel the need for an animal.

You're not taking this seriously.  You need to understand Piaget's theory of child development.
