Ray Hollingsworth originally registered here as Sparkfilms.  That profile has been deleted.  A few months ago he registered as Simon Jones and that profile is still current so it is possible to search the posts made under that name.  However, most of those posts were made on threads dealing with the Simon Hall case and those threads have been removed.

I have just realised that the search facility does not work where a member has applied to delete his account.  SJ applied to delete and although the deletion has not been actioned the search and PM facilities do not work.

It seems that you might be clutching at straws here.

I started to lose confidence in Halls claims of innocence, once I began to understand the arguments surrounding the fibre evidence.

I would doubt that his confession is anything other than an attempt to secure his release, at the earliest opportunity.

Would a prisoner such as Hall, falsely confess to a murder in order to secure an earlier release?

well its allready ben stated that it wont effect his release.

the sighn of wether its a true confession or not is weather it ties up with the known facts of the case.

and weather it implicates others.

Nugs,I would have thought that it would affect his release? Admitting what you have done and showing remorse helps a prisoner move through the system. If JB was not pleading innocence he would have taken part in the necessary courses etc and could have been free by now. Hall clearly wants release at the earliest available oppurtunity and by admitting guilt he now has a chance of that. He was convicted on 28 feb 2003 and his original sentence of 15 years was shortened at a later date to 12 years,3 months and 16 days so I estimate his EDR as middle of June 2015? An apallingly short sentence for such a cowardly violent crime imo.

My neighbour thinks the confession won't affect him at this stage because in essence he's done the time as a 'guilty' person, so the admission won't change anything now.
