But you do constantly mock and goad him. And you've just admitted you've not doing it for a laugh. Others would get into trouble for such comments because they don't have mod colours to hide behind.
If people see you goading Steve then others starts to do it too and it just looks unpleasant.

Firstly, I think that's rich given the source, however, if people have a problem with me as a mod, they can complain - I'll take this as the first one. Anyone else?

Steve is a grown man, not a child and would be the first to admit that he likes to write in a dramatic manner. Given that Bridget and I were discussing the manner in which Wilkes writes (which is in a dramatic manner) how in gods name is that 'goading'? Seems to me you think you think you have smelled a little blood, so thought you would take a nibble.  ::) ::)

I am interested in the details of the intimate relatoonship between David Boutflour and Sheila Caffell - whether or not they became lovers, and if any of the abortions / miscarriages related to that relationship? I think June once caught the pair frolocking together in the barn, apparently they were caught making hay while the sun shone...

I was wondering how long it would take..

The frolicking was with a farm worker if I recall correctly.

Mike,DB admits that he took Sheila out,but lovers? I think that June would have had Sheila exorcised if that were true. But then,Sheila's diaries did get handed to the relatives as police said that what they contained had the potential to cause embarassment to the living relatives.

They'll be well burned, tyler. Probably went up in blue smoke. Pretty incriminating stuff.

Diaries usually are Mat..Little secrets that you don't think anyone else will see. That's why I don't keep one.! Sheila was probably tempted to " tell-all " in her diaries,,as well as the way she felt healthwise.

So more embaressing than incriminating?

Can be a bit of both,Mat. Most people burn such things as they get older, fearing that after death, nobody really knew what that person was like.

Hi lookout I have never kept a diary and never would. For me to read back some of the things I did in my twenties I would be horrified this way I can pretend they never happened ;D ;D ;D and pretend to be a paragon of virtue 8)

I actually whole heartedly believe Jeremy when he talks about the death that David Boutflour inflicted upon this poor elderly lady, and the fact that David Boutflour shot a relative in the face. I discussed these and other things with Jeremy on visits which took place after he wrote this letter, and some of the things I learned through speaking to Jeremy about the relatives, are too sensitive to talk about, but if anyone is prepared to twist my arm up my back, I may be forced to tell all, just for the sake of completeness...
