My goodness me, what is wrong with people, you seem so desperate to believe something that all logic goes out of the window.
I will say once more: Whatever Lomax says in his book is simply his opinion, if he has referenced documents then that's great, but you would need to see that document to ensure that Lomax's interpretation is correct.
On that very basis, this is not proof, the referenced document may be, but Lomax's book is not. As very sensibly suggested by Caroline, you would need to see the source.
On a similar note, there is a claim in Shaws manuscript that Peter punched Nevill and gave a report number as reference, the trouble is, when you saw that report, it didn't actually say what Shaw claimed it did.
This is true of all books, regardless of who they are written by.
Hartley I would claim it was you who over reacted. I quoted a mention in a book of a Major Incident Report that is all. I dont believe I claimed I had solved the case. A few of you this am were posting you had never seen any official proof about the sighting in the window. It was suggested this was made up later by Jeremy. In response to those posts I posted up that a Major Incident Report apparently Existed. That is all.

Maggie, Hartley is much closer to the "relatives" than you may suppose, although he may kid you of the contrary. How can a man be neutral when he has someone else's interest at heart? His simply cannot investigate from a neutral position however hard he tries. That is why he will twist things he says to make it seem he said something quite the opposite. If there is a direct reference in a book without adulteration to the document, then that document is true. If on the other hand that writer expresses his opinion "only" then that is suspect. May I suggest that the document be published on the forum if anyone has access to the original?

I think Hartley is knowledgeable about the case Lugg.  But sometimes we can get it wrong.  Hartley knows there is a Major Incident Record...and he must be aware of what is put on there.  I do know there is reference to an unknown man....there are several references.  If Scot Lomax has quoted it as being that document, then I believe he is correct.  I haven't got my book here at the moment I have lent it too a friend at work....The document is on the forum somewhere, I have seen it....

Maggie quoted from the book earlier and that is correct....Lomax got this from the major incident records.... :) :) :) :) :)

There is a photo dog it in the lomas book, and this is an old thread on the subject:

69 ITEMS                  MAJOR INCIDENT REPORT                                      PAGE 1 OF 2

ITEM              SU                                      FO                                                AD

       1.           0345  S11 MYALL               UNIDENT MALE 0001                      WHITE HSE FM
       2.           2011  N94                         UNIDENT MALE 0029                       PAGES LN
       3.           2015  N94                         UNIDENT MALE 0038                       PAGES LN

This is all that the photograph of the report shows unfortunately.Underneath photo it says -: The beginning of the Major Incident Report in the White House Farm Case, which records that PC MYALL claimed he saw the figure of a person inside White House Farm at 03:45 whilst Bamber was stood outside the building.

I'm looking at it right now! Problem is,its not dated and I had thought that both the officers and Jeremy did not arrive at whf until around 4am? I posted earlier that it may refer to surveillance carried out post murders?

I don't see how it could be Jeremy tbh.Surely due to the timings he couldn't have got to the farm by 03.45? And also the police would have first observed him in Pages lane where he pulled up in his car and not in the farm itself?
