i havent seen it would be intresting to see if anyone can find it.

Nugs,do you remember me saying that the police were asking the villagers if they'd seen any " strange " vehicles in the vicinity.? So it would seem that there's another car/van involved.

and MB's range rover wouldnt be classed as a "strange" vehicle as everyone seemed to know him, not just in that area, but outwith that area.

Wish I could find that clip. Will go and try again before I log off.

This isn't it either but this press conference was before MB was formally interviewed on the day he was arrested.  Very cagey answers to certain questions and other answers make no sense when they have a man in custody  IMO

Where is this little girl?  :(

If the police think that April is in the river I can understand why they say she may never be found, but dead or alive she needs to be found.  Having said that, if they were of the belief that April was in the river, why the need to search elsewhere  :-\

STARTLING statistics surrounding media coverage of the disappearance of April Jones have been revealed by bosses at Dyfed-Powys Police.

Chief Constable Jackie Roberts has written a short report on Operation Tempest, due to be presented to the Police Authority on Monday.

In it she reveals that the force's communications department saw 300 media representatives descend on Machynlleth in the days following the alleged abduction of the five-year-old earlier this month.

And she adds that press officers dealt with more than 400 logged media requests relating to April.

The news comes as police have emphasised that the intensity in the search for April is continuing.

In her quarterly report, she said: "I think it would be worthwhile drawing members' attention to the scope of the media interest that surrounded the tragic events of Operation Tempest.

"The way that the force managed the communications element of the operation have been widely praised."

Mrs Roberts described some of the statistics as "quite startling", adding that 225,000 articles were available online relating to April, including a dedicated Wikipedia page.

"We were the main feature on rolling news from Tuesday to Saturday and the level of media interest remains high," she said, adding that the force's Twitter followers increased five-fold, from 2500 to 12600.

"We have had articles in the media all over the world," she added. "It is a truly global story."

Mrs Roberts has praised the "outstanding support" from partner agencies, including South Wales and Gwent police, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and the Welsh Government.

Hi OnceSaid, sorry for not getting back to you in an earlier post about the sky helicopter.  Working full time, means I miss out on what is being posted in the day time.

They are doing a radius search of 50 miles.  Which tells me they haven't got a clue where she is....This also tells me that MB is saying nothing.  I think the police have little to go on.  :) :) :)

Patti, they may not have a clue where April is, and that MB is saying nothing, (possibly because he has nothing to tell them), and they have little to go on, but I think that MB will be convicted of this murder.  He wont be the first, or the last man to be convicted with no hard evidence.  I do hope that I am wrong and they have a strong case against him based on direct evidence and not pages of circumstantial claptrap that they put together because they didnt have anything else to go on.

I can't understand why they have released his picture and name. Surely they must know something or they have just ruined a potentially innocent mans life? This case makes me sick to my stomach, you just can't be too careful when it comes to children. If she's in the river I don't know if they will ever find her, it was moving so fast on the news earlier. My heart breaks for her parents and I do hope she is found alive.
hi sparkle, yes unfortunately when some one is charged the media pounce orchestrated by the police and the persons photo and name and address are printed..all part of the process of potentionaly defaminating/destroying charator of the accused..it would be so awful if he is in fact completely innocent.. but he is prooved to be undeniably linked to this missing child and has god forbid committed this..i hop he rots in hell.

Yes Paris he was arrested approxiamately 20 hours after April disappeared, and is now on remand awaiting his trial.

There is very little being reported.
