Hi Mike this is interesting, but I feel that this is copied from an original note book...My reason for saying this is because of this comment:  "I think I spoke to DI miller and DS Jones the next day" Hoe can you say that in a day to day note book?

I also noticed that the family had asked his who the weirdos were sat at the front of the church on the funeral day, this was of course Colin and some of his friends.

Also the speculation that JB had seen the will and that he would be expected to work on the farm in the events of his parents deaths???????

AE and RB make reference to a registered letter from Scotland with money in it form a man called McDonald. This letter went to Mr & Mrs Foakes. They speculated that it was some sort of drug money...

I have only read a few pages, for I can't see the print very well....One wonders why the police never took a statement form Foakes.... :) :) :) :)

Patti, COLP notes look as though they were taken from verbal interviews.  Jotted down by the investigating officer.

Is that in Colin's book Patti? That the family asked who the weirdos were in the church at the funerals? I dont remember reading anything about that.

No Andrea it is from the COLP interview with Barlow...It refers to AE and RB asking Barlow who the weirdos were at the front of the church at the family funeral...She was told they were Colin's friends.  I haven't read the full document, but I will do later on...I am just bringing snippets forward.... :) :) :)

I can only hazard a guess that each officer was grilled and had to give a recollection of events, as per whatever records they had or COLP had.  The COLP interviewer then jotted down what was being said.

Morning, the sun has got his hat on  8)

Im pretty sure that the letter from Scotland containing money was NOT from Macdonald.I have forgotten the name of who it was from, but Mike has mentioned the name a fair few times on the forum. And where was the proof that it was "drug money"? And I love the way that one letter meant for Jeremy but delivered to the wrong address suddenly became many letters meant for Jeremy turning up at different addresses all over the village!

Hi Tyler......On the documents Mike has posted...It does say that AE wanted to know about the registered letter from Scotland from MacDonald....However, there appears to be a few question marks at the side of this....I agree with you, there is no proof it was drug money...or it was sent from McDonald. The letter was posted to the Foakes family on Head Street by mistake....I also think that the senior farm worker at WHF was also called Foakes....Barlow interviewed him, but did not get a statement. However I have only read half of it, because I am struggling to read it, the print is so small.... :) :) :)

The same place as the proof that Sheila had £40,000 drug debts?

That's not aimed at you by the way Tyler, your post just reminded me of it.
