This case has a link with the Rettenden range rover murders, namely Braintree police, a detective by the name of wolfgang bird, AKA tricky dicky, also handler of Darren Nicholls.
Tricky Dicky was justly sacked for all sorts of skulduggery, but not before his bentness was used against him to manipulate Nicholls.
I lived in Bocking just up from Bob patience, he often drank in the rose and crown just opposite his house, the only consistant story I heard was, that he was looking after someone elses ill gotten gains and didn't want to give it back.

December 1995 Maggie...one very strange case
