The truth about the (hand) swabs:- DRH/33, DRH/34, DRH/35,

On 7th August 1985, DC Robert Hammersley took a series of swabs from Sheila at the scene, one was a swab of her right hand, another a swab of her left hand, and yet another was taken of her head - thee were originally given exhibit references, DRH/33, DRH/34 and DRH/35, but have subsequently all been referred to by the same exhibit reference of DRH/33, although at some stage they were all referred to as DRH/44...

What about the control swab? Surely they just swapped them over and submitted that one instead.

Then of course, there were the plastic bags he placed over Sheila's head, hands and feet, which had exhibit references later than the hand swabs, thus hand swabs (DRH/33) were taken at scene, not at mortuary...

Then why put plastic bags over her hands?

There are witness statements indicating that the swabs were taken at the mortuary, I haven't seen wnything to contradict that, but I haven't seen everything.

I strongly believe that there are photographs of Sheilas hands taken in the mortuary which the defence have always had.

Hand swabs (DRH/33) were taken before plastic bags were placed over Sheila's hands at the scene - plastic bags were never examined or checked for lead deposit, or to see if there was any sooty residue or blood on her hands which had become transferred on to the plastic bags?
