Sorry Mike but that does not answer the question why he let the air riffle into third party possetion without testing.......unless of course he knew there would not be anything on it because he knew it was not used in the murders.

Jeremy had no reason to believe that the air rifle had been used in the murders.  The prosecution did not suggest that it had been used and the defence team did not regard it was of any relevance to the case.  They therefore did not have it examined or tested.

Jeremy's opinion is that all the shots were fired through the Anschutz rifle, without the sound moderator fitted.  He is also clear that the Pargeter Brno rifle and sound moderator were at WHF on the night of the murders.

As JB saw and handled the air rifle after the murders and that he has not commented that it appeared damaged or bent can we safely say it was not used to strike anyone...it may have been fired ...but cannot be the weapon that had paint on the barrel.

To be pondered, is why Essex police saw fit the examine the .22 air rifle for fingerprints, along with a 12 bore shotgun - if they did not think or believe that these weapons had been used during the incident in one way or another?

Why would Essex police think that the .22 air rifle had been used ijn the shootings and examine it for Fingerprints, if they did not have reason to fingerprint it?"

I have narrowed the gun with paint on the end of its barrel as being either the (1) .22 bolt action rifle owned by Anthony Pargeter, or (2) the 12 bore shotgun...

That makes sense and is logical and reasoned.

I have been reliably informed by someone who knows that the air rifle was not bent in any way and that it is no longer available for examination.

I am sorry Mike, but I have been asked to remove a couple of photos that you have posted because they contained some very sensitive information. Sorry about that mate. I am informed that the air rifle is no longer in the place where you said it was but was removed many years ago. So sorry to sound cloak and dagger. But the person whom it concerned was very emphatic about it,
