Well if Sheila didn't write them, the only other alternative is that JB wrote them and planted them, Jane, but to write such letters would indeed be a work of genius! half illegible and half extremely disturbed thoughts.
Have you seen them, Jane?

The Paul Harrison residue has resorted to this argument before.

Nah, its clutching at straws thinking JB could write the notes, Dave!
And when you think about it, it makes perfect sense leaving a note to her birth mum when she knew her adoptive mum was about to die or most likely already dead!

I know it's grasping at straws. But it won't stop them.

But the jury didn't know about the letters did they, Cutie?
What if a psychologist had given his opinion about them at JBs trial?

It doesn't appear the jury was aware of a carving inside a warbrobe "I hate this place" but you can see how the CoA viewed it:

Even if authorship of the carving could be established, and we were of the opinion that Sheila
Caffell is the most likely author, we are unable to see that any issue in the trial would
be materially affected. The carving could not be dated and we cannot see that even if
written by Sheila Caffell any different picture of her state of mind would have
emerged.

397. The jury had heard the medical evidence, principally that of Dr Ferguson. Between
August 1983 and her death Sheila had suffered a psychotic illness requiring inpatient
treatment. She had disturbances in her thinking process. She had severe mood
disturbances. She had used cannabis and cocaine. She suffered from schizophrenia,
which could produce hallucinations, delusions and mood disturbances.

The letters will go nowhere.

Why would someone at a moment of immense emotional stress and about to commit suicide date a suicide note!?

I am not saying they would.  I am simply going by how the CoA viewed a very similar matter.  If you want to assist JB with a successful CCRC/CoA submission you need to get out your own head and attempt to get into the heads of 3 appeal court judges:

The only possible angle on SC's mental state would be to claim an attachment disorder based on June's severe depression.  This would not in and of itself be capable of getting to the CoA but it has the potential to provide a formidable add-on.

The reason for this is that attachment is now underpinned by a lot of new science by way of neuroscience that was not available at trial.

I put into AI 'Attachment, neuroscience, suicide, familicide

Attachment neuroscience provides a critical framework for understanding suicide and familicide by examining how early trauma and chronic relational distress alter brain development, emotion regulation, and interpersonal functioning. The Neurobiology of Attachment and TraumaThe HPA Axis: Severe relational trauma (abuse, neglect) in early life often leads to the hyperactivity of the Hypothalamic–Pituitary–Adrenal (HPA) axis. This creates a compromised stress-response system, structural deficits in the hippocampus, and an inability to regulate intense emotions.Right Brain Development: Early relational trauma specifically impairs the experience-dependent maturation of the right cerebral hemisphere, which is primarily responsible for socio-emotional learning, empathy, and processing attachment cues.Disorganized/Insecure Attachment: This biological deficit manifests psychologically as an insecure or disorganized attachment style. These individuals often struggle to form secure bonds, experience heightened separation anxiety, and default to profound emotional dysregulation. The Pathway to SuicidalityThwarted Belongingness: Insecure attachment—particularly attachment anxiety and avoidance—is a major, well-documented risk factor for suicidal ideation and suicide attempts. The resulting isolation and interpersonal difficulties leave individuals highly vulnerable to deep psychological pain and hopelessness.Acquired Capability: The neurobiological dysregulation and impulsivity linked to early trauma can foster an "acquired capability" for suicide, lowering the physiological fear of self-harm.The Psychology of FamilicideFamilicide (the murder of a partner and children, typically followed by the perpetrator's suicide) is often rooted in the intersection of severe attachment insecurity, personality dysfunction, and extreme trauma.Lack of Individuation: Perpetrators often display profound pathological dependency or an anxious-ambivalent attachment style. They view their partners and children as psychological extensions of themselves rather than independent individuals.Trigger of Separation: When a relationship ends or a separation is threatened, it shatters the perpetrator's external emotional "scaffolding". Unable to process the trauma of abandonment and separation, the individual may experience acute decompensation. The "Lethal Solution": In a state of intense affective dysregulation and vengeful anger, the perpetrator acts on a subconscious motivation to prevent the separation. The murder of the family is tragically rationalized as an "altruistic" act (not wanting to leave the family behind to face the world alone) combined with a possessive, vengeful desire to destroy what they feel they are losing. The perpetrator then turns this lethal violence on themselves, completing the suicide.Understanding these intersections underscores the importance of screening for childhood trauma, attachment styles, and dynamic risk factors (like threats of separation and domestic violence) in clinical and family court settings.10 sitesAdolescent Attachment Security, Family Functioning, and Suicide ...the non-attempt group. * Attachment theory would suggest that insecure attachment reflects early childhood experiences where the p...National Institutes of Health (.gov)Attachment Security and Suicide Ideation and Behaviour - PMCPartial correlations, mediation analyses and group comparisons were conducted to explore relationships between these factors. I am afraid JB and his CT live in the dark ages.  His only hope is that I am appointed CEO.  I would then take the campaign in a completely different direction by way of material submitted to CCRC and how the media is managed  :P 8)

Have you applied for the role of CEO, Cutie?
Trouble is they may ask to see your hand, your plan of action as it were first, then simply hijack it?

JB already rejected her in 2018.

5.45 GPO asked to recheck line

5.47 Phone engaged at scene

Just another mistake? Engaged and off the hook are completely different.

Sigh! No, not a mistake at all - the phone was check intermittently because until the operator listened into the line, she had no way of knowing if there was a conversation in progress or if the phone was off the hook. You can research this yourself, like I did!! Look at the logs Bonnet had t checked and added that to his log at 03:56. At 5:55 the phone status is UNCHANGED  the phone is STILL off the hook, which means they knew it was off the hook all along but were keep checking

Wasn't JB accused of carving I hate this place?

A phone off the hook sets a alarm on at the exchange in those days anyway, so the operator does not have to listen in if they don't want to.

So probably just another mistake!
