The average person cycles at approx 12 miles per hour, that is in daylight on smooth surfaces.

So at night on rough terrain with no lights would be at lot less than 10 mph.

The last 2 pages has been dismissing your walking theory.

Walking The Sea Wall would take too long and be too tiring.

Walking across fields was not possible.

Maybe too long but not too tiring, 4 miles walking is nothing.

Walking is too long and pissing about. Ditto cycling through fields in complete darkness. Absolutely ridiculous.

Seems the car was the best bet. The biggest problem it breaking down on the way back.

Walk there cycle the roads back is an option.

He could have took the bike back to WHF when on the way to work either the Monday or Tuesday morning if what Julie says is right reference seeing it on the forth

Why would he do that? Makes no sense.

He brought the bike to Goldhanger pre massacre for one reason.

To cycle there and back. Without being seen & without expending energy

Too far, long and tiring to walk.

The only people who would walk over 90- 140 minutes with a short break half way through would be hikers who enjoy walking & go on walking day trips.

Walking either of the 2 Brook House Farm routes doesn't avoid properties, people or security cameras. It goes along roads so if he was going that way he would cycle.

Bamber thought The Sea Wall route could be cycled in 15 minutes. So he's not going to spend 140+ minutes walking 8.4 miles there and back.

Walking across fields was not possible.

Depends on a persons approach.

You wouldn't cycle for 20 minutes or go in through the bathroom window as it would be too much effort for 500k+.

The prosecution believe he did both.

I think if he did it he drove.

Don't think anybody was window watching at 2am

Bamber may have had to drive through Tollshunt D'arcy to get onto Pages Lane.

Wilkinson said the track going past Brook House Farm leading onto the B1023 & Pages Lane was easy for a bike.

Whether it was suitable for a car is another matter.

He probably just went the route via car the way he went to work on a daily basis.
