Please don't lie.

I can't make false claims about what's on Google Maps. As everyone sees the same thing.

Seems like Adam is calling both RB and Bamber liars about their knowledge of the surrounding area.

Also disputing Google as well.

Anyway as far as I am concerned there is a perfectly adequate cycle path. From The Sea Wall to Pages Lane.

This is as wide as Pages Lane & 0.4 miles long.

It runs alongside the fields. As cycle paths do on farmland!

Wilkinson said - level terrain.

Anyone can go on Google Maps & check.

I think the photos tell the truth. I'm not trying to be patronising.

I think it's time for a new thread in fairness. I'm doing the visit in may. As hardy boy said earlier we've discussed it to death.

I can only go via the satellite information and images available.

ILB will obviously check this on his visit and report back. With photos.

He just needs to go to the end of pages lane. Then keep walking/cycling down the wide path.

For me there has been good recent progress on Bamber's route.

Jane said Thistley Close was not there in 1985. Assume it is ditto with the Fish Street properties next to these. This would make access to The Sea Wall from his back garden easier and quicker.

Google Maps shows a cycle/foot path along the edge of fields.  Starting at the end of Pages Lane, to The Sea Wall. This is wide, flat and will have perfectly adequate terrain

Pages lane evaporates long before the sea wall entrance begins ( fields ) nd he has to conduct his route via fields

As always said I thought the sea wall to WHF route had an end path that basically took you to WHF. Whether it be psges lane or anything. As it turns out you can only access WHF via pages lane via the road route and Maldon road of course.

Cycling through fields at 2am and back is just ludicrous.

Not sure why ILB has put up a picture of a field.

The official site has the pathway I am referring to. It is the blue path that adjoins Pages Lane.

It is the blue pathway which adjoins the red and green lines next to 'A'.

Sorry ILB, even the OS are not saying he cycled across fields.

But keep digging.

Obviously Bamber and RB reference the route.

Acknowledging it went via fields

Both having intimate knowledge of it.
