The only credible travel is -

The Sea Wall route.

Brook House Farm route.

Both by bike.

Walking either route or driving the Brook House Farm route are not credible.

I wonder why CAL said he cycled the Brook House Farm route.

Her book is supposed to be fact based. The prosecution case was that he cycled The Sea Wall.

Maybe Bamber told her he didn't know The Sea Wall route. He couldn't say that about the Brook House Farm route. He drove it every day!

Seems her book was a combination of facts and her opinion. Which contradict each other.

He would be identified.

If people on Head Street saw him leave or arrive. Or if a security camera could identify the car make.

No easier.

A bit quicker. But 12 minutes of cycling on great terrain is no problem.

The security cameras ( on the event there even way any ) point to the front of the property, driveway garden and road.

On a car going past it will pick up the side view, also it was nighttime so you will just be able to make out the outline of the car.

No visual ID of Bamber, no proof it was Bamber. You can't even distinguish the make of the car, let alone see whose driving it.

Bambers barrister would have shot holes in such a theory in court

Bamber could simply drive the route he went to work every single day.

Park on pages lane ( middle of the night isolated)

And walk to the farmhouse

Much of the route to WHF is country roads.

Biggest risk of an ID is a neighbour jumping out of bed and looking out of the window of the sound of a car engine starting.

Which is not feasible, a brand new astra.

A knackered old van, perhaps which is loud.

De'ath points out the sea wall was populated. At first I didn't believe it would be, but death has the knowledge it was

He could also cycle it.

Silently and invisible compared to a car.

The Brook House Farm route is the same route he would drive.

Which is tarmacked roads.

The Brook House Farm track & Pages Lane are wide dirt tracks designed for cars. So easy for bikes.

Must admit Maldon Road, Brook House Farm Track & Pages Lane are minimal risk.

It is whether Bamber was prepared to risk cycling through Goldhanger.

As it was a one off cycle ride with a massive reward/punishment, suspect he played it safe.

Better safe than sorry!

The other reason he would play it safe & cycle The Sea Wall route instead of the Brook House Farm route, was because he did not believe he had major time constraints.

The Sea Wall route was a bit longer.

Neither cycle route would expend much energy.

It's not about time constraints, it's a case of " get in get it done get out "

The longer something of this magnitude goes on, the greater chance of things going wrong or fucking up from his perspective, he's on a mission to kill five people, he isn't renovating a house. One fuck up from his end could result him being caught on the scene.

He would want to minimize the time and get back to goldhanger, not prolong things by unessecary cycle journeys.

How would he know if any of the farmworkers hadn't seen him?

Wasn't Alan Fraser Bell the Zimbabwe farm worker sleeping in a caravan on the site ? Or close to it

Sounds very 'action man'.

You wouldn't even 'get in' unless Nevill and June had left the door unbolted.

Me and ILB agree on a few things -

The Brook House Farm route could be driven quickly with ease.

The Brook House farm route could be cycled quickly with ease.

The Sea Wall route could be cycled quickly with ease.

Bamber would not walk either of these routes.

Walking across fields was not possible.

---------

We disagree on what route & travel option he used.

Adam I think you have reached PhD level regarding the sea wall.  Not even the answer machine took up this much of your focus.
