"On 24 February 2021, Russian media watchdog Roskomnadzor ordered all media to only use information provided by official state sources while covering Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Anyone caught disobeying this order could see their websites blocked and be fined up to $62,600."

The BBC is ran by the British state.  It will play down children cowering in their homes in Yemen, Iraq etc.  But if children are cowering in their homes in Ukraine, that's a different matter altogether.

This is irrelevant.  We are intelligent enough to discern that there are two sides to the story, inclusive of any imbalances in reporting.

No offense but I would not describe Richard D Halls audience as "intelligent".

Hall's an electrical engineer.  At least he is reasonably intelligent, even if I am lacking  :))

I agree.  But I have to take in to account, when we bombed Iraq, did we hit their TV communications also?

I listened to a very eloquent journalist who was speaking on Breakfast Television this morning. His English was perfect. He speaks perfect Russian. His parents, one of whom is a teacher, are living in the Ukraine and refusing to leave, as is their right. What he had to say was worth listening to. It was authentic and believable. It occurred to me that there were people, in Russia, probably watching their equivalent of BTV, on which an equally authentic journalist was feeding them information which was, in all likelihood, verbatim quotes from Putin. Whilst we, at least, have a choice about who are our leaders, the Russians don't. For the time being, most seem to accept that the 'great' man only has the interests of Russia at heart, but God help them if they ever start to doubt him. It will take another revolution to depose him.
