Seems that David has one remaining reason for his stance change from hardcore guilter - an alternative source regarding there being no back splatter on the rifle nozzle.

He has not challenged the reasons why there would be no blood on Nevill's side of the bed.

It is likely Bamber fired the first 5 shots into June. Then turned his attention to Nevill.

Once Nevill started moving, he would not switch attention back to June.

Nevill may have woken and started moving while the 5 shots were going into June. Bamber was still able to get two face shots as Nevill was getting out of bed.

So again, no time for any blood to fall onto the bed.

Facial shots have a large blood supply so Nevill's bed would have been saturated if he'd been shot in the face. Nevill wouldn't have seen his way getting from his bed.
