My point being, how does he get it wrong from heated arguing to they were happy, he’s clearly telling one story to one audience and another story to police, there is a vast difference in it. It’s well known within the guilty that they were supposedly arguing about fostering, yet in his police interview he says they were happy and no one appeared distressed? You have to remember he wasn’t a suspect on his first interview so he didn’t need to play it up, maybe he thought he would play it up with Anne and Colin’s girlfriend?
But we only have their words that he actually said that ? Perhaps it is them embellishing his words ?
What I am saying is that it would have suited his scenario to make out sheila was angry and looking for a fight but that is not the scene he presented to the police is it ?
The fostering scenario was proven to be true later in documents so that was perfectly plausible. If he is telling the truth it’s probably why he was taken back by the call later as when he left there was nothing to make him think there was going to be trouble.
