The relatives appear to have had a remarkable amount of luck finding the silencer, and proving it was on the guns barrel not only when Neville Bamber was shot and killed in the kitchen with the end of that silencer scratching to kitchen aga, but that the same silencer was still fitted to the guns barrel at the time Sheila was shot and killed on the bedroom floor and that her unique, exclusive blood was forced backwards into the baffle plates of that silencer, etc, etc, etc...

Seems somewhat obvious to me, that if the silencer had been used in the manner alleged, that the killer, or killers would have known precisely where that silencer had come into contact with (aga), or was open to be contaminated with (Sheila's blood), because they were responsible for the murders, and not Jeremy Bamber...

'MOTIVE'...
What motive did the relatives have to kill three generations of the Bamber Clan, and spare Jeremy his life so that they could implicate him as the killer?

It is very disturbing, in my view, that the relatives appear to have been doing all the investigating into the possible cause of these 5 deaths, and that Essex police were more than happy to treat the matter as 'four murders an a suicide'...

I can't help but wonder whether or not the relatives, or at least a relative, or two, are the true perpetrators behind these deaths / killings!!!

A relative, or a number of relatives had the opportunity, and the knowlege, to carry out these killings in suc a way as to undermine the police handling of the investigation from the outset!
Why did relatives, or why do the relatives appear to have the upper hand over Essex police regarding whoo shot who, from such an early stage in the police investigation?

It was the very fact that DCI Taff Jones had shut up shop on the crimes that spurred the relatives on. They had no influence whatsoever in the early investigations until Robert Boutflour's letter to the Chief Constable with the silencer evidence admittedly as the catalyst.

The silencer was recovered on that first morning by 'Stan' Jones, the silencer belonged to the Pargeter gun, captured in one of the crime scene photographs taken in the kitchen, about which mention is made in a police document that 'no-one' was to mention the gun in question! The Pargeter gun / silencer ('SBJ/1') and ammunition was documented as having been found in the kitchen! This was the same guns barrel to which DS Davidson was alluding to in his COLP interview where he mentioned some paint being engrained into the end of that guns barrel, he was particular in referring to the end of the guns barrel, and not the end of a silencer! This apparently led to 'Ron' Cook taking a paint sample ('RC/1') from the kitchen aga on the 8th August 1985 (second day of the original police investigation, SC/688/85) and handing 'this' to Davidson at the scene on that date! What I can say is that the cops have tried to conceal the use of the Pargeter rifle and it's silencer in these shootings! By the 8th of August 1985, the Pargeter silencer had been separated since the first morning of the investigation from the gun ('Stan' Jones took possession of the silencer 'SBJ/1' the day previously). It was not until the second day of the investigation that paint was noted on the end of the Pargeter guns barrel - this puzzled Cook because he knew that a silencer had been attached on the barrel at the time 'that' weapon had been found in the kitchen! It did not go unnoticed that prior to detaching the silencer from the barrel of that gun and taking the silencer away, that 'Stan' Jones had transferred the gun and silencer to the downstairs bathroom where he photographed them! According to police records that photograph was mysteriously destroyed and for one reason or another only best known to the police themselves it never saw the light of day, and it was never disclosed to Bamber or those representing him (there only exists police records to say that such a photograph existed)! DC's Oakley and Henderson, and PC Bird also photographed the downstairs toilet, and captured the gun case inside which the gun was usually kept, in a vacant position! Somebody had taken the Pargeter .22 Brno (bolt action) rifle out of its case, and it ended up in the kitchen where it's presence there was captured in one specific crime scene photograph of the kitchen, and everyone who might have wanted to refer to this in their reports or witness statements and pocketbooks were duly warned off from mentioning anything whatsoever about it!
The claim made by Anthony Pargeters that he had removed his weapon from the farmhouse on the penultimate week-end prior to the tragedy occurring was a later concoction as part of the attempt to conceal the use of his bolt action rifle in the shooting incident! It may well be, however, that although present at the scene, it may not have actually fired any bullets, due to the fact that according to the contents of a witness statement made to Essex police by Anthony Pargeters, he states that although white house farm was the place where he was licensed to keep and use his .22 bolt action rifle, he 'always removed the bolt from that gun and took that away with him when he returned home, so that no-one could fire his gun in his absence'...
The Pargeter rifle was found in the kitchen, it was the gun with paint on the end of its barrel, it irrelevant whether or not it could be fired because of the absence of its bolt, it seems somewhat apparent that it did not have it's silencer attached to its barrel at the time of its discovery, allowing the end of the guns barrel to come into contact with the red painted kitchen aga, at some point!

Why would Jones be looking for a silencer?

Why would Jones be looking for a silencer?
What makes you think that Jones was looking for the silencer? More likely that he was contacted whilst at Jeremy's cottage to go back to the farmhouse by 'Taff' Jones, and instructed to return to the scene to collect 'that' silencer...
Which is what he did ('SBJ/1')...
Yeah, he really did recover 'it'...

I don't think/believe he was looking for one, nor that he found one.

Oh, he certainly returned to the scene and he collected the Pargeter silencer ('SBJ/1'), because police documented it as having been seized on that first morning...
I think he seized the silencer ('SBJ/1') belonging to Pargeters rifle because there may have been 'a blob of blood on the end of its cap' near to the .22 aperture, consistent with the diagram at the lab' on 13th August 1985, showing such an area of dried blood, which contradicted red paint from the kitchen aga on the end of the guns barrel...
Now, it becomes somewhat obvious even to a blind man that this silencer ('SBJ/1') must have been returnee to the farmhouse oprior to the 10th August 1985, when wo and be told David Boutflour rediscovered 'it', inside the gun cupboard of the den - the silencer in question was then placed in storage at the Eaton household until evening of 12th August 1985, when Peter Eaton handed 'it' back into 'Stan' Jones posssession. Thereafter, 'Stan' Jones showed 'it' to DI 'Bob' MIller on the following morning, who in turn told 'Stan' to give the silencer to 'Ron' Cook who was intending to visit the lab' later that same date. Of course, When 'Stan' Jones handed 'it' to 'Ron' Cook, Cook automatically assumed that 'Stan' was handing him the silencer he had seized from the scene on the first morning of the police investigation...
Lets get the facts right, 'Ron' Cook thought that 'Stan' Jones was the finder (the person who seized it at the scene on 7th August 1985) of 'that' silencer, and he duly attached an exhibit label which 'Ron' labelled 'SJ/1' because he did not know by that stage that 'Stan' JOnes had a middle Christian name of 'Brian'...
This detail would come back to haunt Essex police, because 'Ron' Cook signed that exhibit lable along with Glynis Howard at positions 2 and 3 on the aforementioned exhibit label leaving position 1 vacant intending to get 'Stan' Jones to sign 'it' at position 1 later on, because 'Ron' Cook knew that 'Stan' the man had seized it originally...
However, if you examine 'that' exhgibit label, whioch Cook and Howard both signed, we find that the gun dealor (RADCLIFFE) from Colchester, actually signs that exhibit label as the finder of 'that' silencer...
It beggars belief that 'RADCLIFFE' could be said to be the finder of 'that' silencer irrespective of whether or not, it was being referred to as exhibit 'SBJ/1' or 'SJ/1', or whatever...
'Stan' JO0nes tampered with his notebook entries in which he recorded all features and aspects of his involvement in this investigation - anyone who chooses to ignore this fact must be considered to have dishonest intentions...
