Ive oftenwondered how i would feel if i was wrongfully imprisoned.
From what ive read its a no win situation. You say your guilty and show remorse and you get out earlier or you xannot admit to something you didnt do and are continually told to stop denying it.
I think i would feel extreme hatred for those that lied. And could never let it rest. It would ruin my life until i could get to the truth.and boy would i want revenge.
be interesting to hear your thoughts

Hello Notsure
It is so difficult for me to put myself in that position but I honestly think if I had been imprisoned for a crime I didnot commit then it was found I was innocent I would not seek revenge just be so happy to be released and I would want the Law to review the case and bring charges against anyone who had broke the Law committing perjury or falsifying evidence.

There will be other innocent people with you on the same boat protesting innocence. That would help allot knowing your not the only one I guess :(

And there will be the guilty who claim innocence on a technicality, ie an apostrophe in the wrong place in a police report.

I'd feel rather miffed. ( understatement )
It's something that, unless you're a super-human,you'd have to have counselling for, which would be vital if you intend to lead a normal life as the emotional scars of firstly being blamed for something you didn't do and secondly for having been incarcerated for a lifetime would render you to end up a physical and mental wreck. I suppose it amounts to PTSD and would be a lengthy process.
I can't think of anything worse to happen to anyone when you're only one voice in a crowd and nobody's listening or if they are, they don't believe you. It's like having a nightmare that you don't wake up from.
In Jeremy's case he couldn't do right for doing wrong and he was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. What a rotten situation. It's like being thrown to the lions.
Good job JB has a strong constitution or he'd be dead. I know I would have been because you can only fight for so long. It's only a matter of time before Pistorius carks it as he won't do a stretch of 15 years.

I don't hold with technicalities at all. They're a cop-out.

Hard to say how I would feel. But I imagine severe anger at those who had stitched me up.

Sorry started a thread then had a bit of an emergency so didnt get to join in. Interesting comments. I agree with lookout and maggie, must be awful if youare innocent. If someonecould actually make a lie detector that was 100% then that would sort loads out wouldnt it.
