It is universally agreed it was the Aga paint in tbe silencer.
Apart from a kitchen fight, no one has ever given any other suggestions of how the aga paint would end up in the silencer.
There has never been a dispute about the random scratch marks being consistent with a big kitchen fight.
It has shown to be impossible for the relatives to expertly put Sheila's blood into the silencer. It is also very hard or impossible that an individual can expertly put random scratch marks onto the Aga to replicate a possible fight ?
The judge said the Aga paint in the silencer shows the silencer was on the rifle during the massacre. This was not disputed at trial.
The paint in the silencer showing it was on during the massacre, supports that Sheila would also be shot with the silencer attached. If she was murdered.
The scratch marks suggest that both Neville and his attacker were fighting over the rifle ? A partially injured Neville could easily gain control of the rifle over Sheila.
The scratch marks support the other kitchen forensic evidence and the judges statement that Neville put up a 'tremendous fight for life '. Sheila would not win this fight or come out unmarked.
The paint alone inside the silencer would support Bamber as the killer. He said he left the rifle without the silencer on. Sheila would not put the silencer on pre massacre as there was no need and no time.
The paint alone inside the silencer supports Bamber as the killer. Sheila would not take off the silencer and then put it neatly away.
The scratch marks highlight a kitchen fight. Rather than Neville slumping to the floor and letting himself get beaten.
The paint inside the silencer strongly supports the human blood inside being Sheila's. Who was murdered. One of her shots being a contact shot.
-
It's surprising how little the paint in the silencer is mentioned.
It is strong forensic evidence that the silencer was on the rifle during the kitchen fight. This means the massacre started upstairs with the silencer attached.
At the least Neville and June had been shot upstairs with the silencer attached, before the kitchen fight. However some people believe the twins were also shot before the kitchen fight.
After the kitchen fight, there was no point in taking the silencer off before returning upstairs and completing the massacre. There was also no time as Bamber wanted everyone dead before they woke up. So Sheila was shot with the silencer attached.
So the paint in the silencer strongly supports Sheila's blood being in the silencer from her contact shot.
Bamber took the silencer off at the end of the massacre. Either to burn Neville's back when returning downstairs, or because he realised Sheila could not shoot herself with it on. He put the silencer away for obvious reasons and probably didn't give it another thought.
-
It's also strange that there were a number of items in front of the gun cupboard blocking it from being opened. Yet it was accessed by Jeremy the previous evening and he doesn't mention blocking it off.
-
The aga paint shows it was on the rifle during the kitchen fight. It was human blood in the silencer. Sheila received a contact shot. An expert at the trial said it was Sheila's blood inside the silencer. I'm not sure how supporters can claim Bamber is innocent.
The relatives contaminating the silencer has been ruled out. Caroline has said Stan Jones fabricated the silencer evidence.
Mike has since said the police kept extra samples of Sheila's blood from the crime scene. Then used this to submit a second silencer to the lab team.
-
Mike saying a second silencer was submitted to the crime scene, supports the view that the silencer was used during the massacre.
There was no point in the police handing in a first silencer to the lab team, which the relatives gave them, if there was nothing on it.
If the results of the first silencer did not support the police, but the results were buried. This means the lab team are included in the frame.
-
Anyway. Assuming there was no second silencer or fabrication. Does everyone agree that the aga paint, human /Sheila's blood in the silencer and Sheila getting a contact shot, show the silencer was used during the massacre ?

Adam your post ratio on this thread is 5:1. Are you in competition with Mike? Just askin like :-\
How long was the rifle with silencer? Aren't they usually used outdoors? Sometimes I practice my morris dancing with my riding stick and end up taking out all sorts. Last year I brought my thimble collection down complete with the display cabinet. :'( My riding stick must be less than half the length of rifle plus silencer. I'm surprised it only had red paint on from the Aga. I would expect to find half the house in it swninging that round :-\
Do golfers practice their swings indoors thought it was just putting?
Last night I was out riding one of my two horses and I was thinking why no one has ever suggested Jeremy might have used a horse to get to and from the farm? Robert Boutflour only looked for tyre marks. He didn't look for hooves.

Possibly because Jeremy didn't have a horse? ::)

Possibly, but he didn't own a bike either did he? Did he have access to a horse?
Did they have horses at the farm? Did June and Sheila ride?
-
Yes----he stole a horse ( knowing what a thief he was ) and complete with wet-suit,rode it to and from WHF

No, but he had access to a bike and his two legs. The horse element doesn't come into it - as far as I know, the farm only grew crops - no animals!!

How do you know he didn't have access to a horse? I find it difficult to believe in all those fields farmed by the Bambers or in neighbouring fields there wasn't a horse? There's a difference between a farm having a horse or horses (I have 2 but no farm) for recreational purposes and livestock.
Anyway I think the farm did have some livestock.
Are you the only one allowed to come up with new theories eg the trailer?
Was the sighting of a scruffy hunched up man running away actually a scruffy hunched up man or a horse?
Did MM have access to a horse? Did Jeremy tell Julie how MM arrived and departed the farm?

Re "SHUM". It depends on whether he was walking semi-upright on two legs or galloping away on four.

I havent banged my head while Morris dancing but I have had a couple of falls from my horses. One more than the other. I often ride without a hat because I like feeling the breeze or wind through my hair.
I'm not old enough to remember old tv series.

Now you're being silly sami. How many people ride cows, goats, pigs or rams? Lots of people ride horses including the queen.
No I'm saying was the scruffy hunched man in fact a horse?

Jackie I imagine riding your horse without a proper hat is quite dangerous but I guess it is better. I would not think for one minute you are into Morris Dancing and it is your legs you bang with your stick not your head hahaha

I've already said my sexual fantasies revolve around Noel the supervet only. No beastality. Say no more or Neil will appear and tell me off for "cheap sexual innuendo" :'(

I like the combination of an element of danger riding one of my two horses over difficult terrain fast without a hat and the relative safety of morris dancing.
I'm a Leo/Virgo on the cusp.

I'm a Gemini-the Twins. I always rather liked it until someone told me this week it could be Jekyll and Hyde.

I wouldn't worry about that as most people display a Jekyll and Hyde character at times and I wouldn't have put you in that category, not purposely on your part anyway.
