Title: Should Jeremy now apologise to the relatives ?
Post by: Adam on November 06, 2014, 06:22:PM
Accusing them of planting paint and blood inside the silencer. Did they plant June's DNA as well ? Even though they probably didn't know what DNA was in 1985.

The relatives are all decent hard working people. Rich in their own right and had nothing to do with the massacre.

Yes, Jeremy may have got away with murder if the relatives had not have found the silencer. But Stan Jones approached Ann Eaton three days after the massacre. It was not her fault Jeremy was refusing to enter WHF, preferring to stay in deluxe hotels in Amsterdam.

The relatives were supportive of Jeremy at first. But simply did not believe his story. After 29 years, surely Jeremy can see their point of view. Not many other people believe his story either. Despite his protestations.

This forum has shown it was impossible for the relatives to correctly contaminate the silencer. Yet Jeremy has accused them of being criminals for 29 years. He's a fine one to talk.

Jeremy is entitled to protest his innocence. Even after September 2015. However perhaps it's time to apologise to the relatives.

One doesn't exactly go hand in hand with the other so you have answered you own question!

Or then again perhaps it's time you apologised to Caroline as well? ::)

Do you think Jeremy should apologise to the relatives ?

It is clear the only way the silencer could be correctly contaminated is if the police gave it to lab technicians. However not sure why the relatives would give the police a clean silencer.

You do know that I don't believe the silencer evidence right? No, I don't think he should apologise - I don't see what good that would do and I don't think it would make any difference to them.

How about apologies all round for having put Jeremy where he is  ?

I would like an apology if someone had incorrectly accused me of being a criminal for 29 years. Better late than never.

Come to think of it, there was no mention of any accusation of silencer tampering by the relatives at trial. Or in the years afterwards.

Although Jeremy did focus a lot of time on the silencer in the years after conviction. Not sure what other results he was expecting to find. I mean who else's blood was it going to be ?

So what about you, or even the relatives? If it were finally proven that Bamber was innocent beyond doubt would you or they be prepared to apologise to HIM for 29 years of accusations? Or in your case 2 years.

I don't think there is much chance of that happening Mr Gee. But if it does, I will apologise.

Jeremy knows he has to blame the alleged silencer contamination on the police.

So an apology to the relatives is appropriate. Man up Jeremy.

Hi Adam :)

I think after nearly 30 years saying sorry is never too late. Its the hardest thing to say to anyone, especially if your pride has been hurt.

In this case however, I doubt anyone will say sorry.

The silencer had an history well before it was sent to the lab. There are many questions to be asked. Did someone try the moderator on the rifle before it went to the lab to see if it fitted the rifle? Was the moderator test fired prior to being sent to the lab? Where was the moderator stored before it went to the lab? Did the moderator come into contact with any other weapon from the crime scene?

I don't think the relatives framed Jeremy. It was their strong belief from the moment they found out about the murders.  They considered every scenario possible which fitted their belief that he was the one responsible for their deaths.  Shock, fear, deep bereavement stepped in. They wanted answers....

At the end of the day there is no solid forensic evidence to place Jeremy at the scene of crime.  The only evidence that sealed his fate was the moderator. Yet the police searched that cupboard and did not find it...Maybe the police lied and they did not search it at all....yet they ticked it off on the list as being searched.  There will always be two sides to a story Adam....You give me sound evidence and I will eat my hat.   :)

Of course the silencer fitted the rifle.

Why would they test fire it ?

The silencer was stored at the back of s gun cupboard prior to being found.

There is no reason why the police would open every box inside WHF in the first 3 days. It was murder/suicide. Thread already created.

There is a lot of forensic evidence showing it could not have been Sheila. So...

Perhaps both blue and red should sign and send a letter to Jeremy. Saying he should apologise ?

I know where you got the expression "man up Jeremy" from. Good grief! the man's been in gaol for 29 years I should think that proves he's a man. I know I couldn't live in prison for that length of time without going crazy.

Anyway, there is this old film called, All about Eve.
I think our board should be renamed to All about Adam - he takes up an awful lot of space here!

This new topic like many more are of no substance or reason I fail to see what Jeremy has to be sorry for by now I would have expected  someones soul to die having spent so much time behind bars perhaps you are asking the wrong person to say sorry .
