Thank you everybody for your kind thoughts. :) Feeling a bit better today. I only hope I'm ready for work on Monday, or they'll be sacking me. :-\

Aww, Grahame,,I've just this minute looked on the thread. You poor man ! Though glad to learn that you're out of hospital,as you get better quicker at home.

I have to be worrying about work lookout. The Plume School are talking about getting rid of me because of ill health. But I think that ever since I've been in charge of security there we've only had one burglar get away.

make sure you know your rights in that respect - there is a good person on legal beagles in the employment section you will tell you exactly what your rights are. she may be a bit blunt but she knows her stuff . it is a free forum

Haha. No it was two males and they lept the 6ft fence like Olympians. They were caught in the Basildon area a week later.

I feel a lot better today Susan thanks. Now that they've taken one of the tubes out. The other one comes out, the one through my abdomen in 4 weeks time.

Hi Jan. I've got to go for a health assessment in Chelmsford on Tuesday, which is being paid for by the school in order that they may find ways of helping me in my work there and if I have any special needs. I must admit that after covering for someone last week and the week before who is on holiday I do feel shattered. This business has taken its toll on me. Thanks for asking.

I don't think there should be a problem with you asking for your return to be phased in as such .
That's something that is covered on information on sick pay for employers , which I have researched recently.
