Grahame Mr No Bits deserves first class from the female members because of his out and out charm ;D
-
Why? (http://www.pic4ever.com/images/89.gif)
Well, he did show some humanity when he offered to make allowances for Caroline if she had an off day.
-
Women. So easily taken in by a charmer. ::)

Back of the net!!! :) It has taken time, but it appears I have been rehabilitated. :)
I wonder what it was Hartley that robbed you of a sense of justice and of your humanity.
-
Back of the net!!! :) It has taken time, but it appears I have been rehabilitated. :)
And how does that make you feel :)

Who is Evilone and where has steve_uk got to?

Who is Evilone and where has steve_uk got to?
Ohhh,,I don't know who Evilone is,,and as for Steve,,he hasn't been seen since that article of Andrew Hunts was in the Sunday paper last week. ;D ;D
-
Who is Evilone and where has steve_uk got to?
Tyler, I have no idea who was the Evilone but it seems as if they may have had a good handle on how our new, rehabilitated Hartley/Jam/No-Bits, was at that time :) I miss Steve_uk. I enjoyed having someone to disagree with :D
-
Hi tyler
It is school hols in Scotland but I believe England starts at the end of this week so maybe steve will be back during the hols quite worried about him and have missed him we all have ;D ;D ;D
-
And how does that make you feel :)
Well I have to say it's been a long road and there were times when I didn't think this day would come. I have to thank my manager, who has been a rock, all the support staff and people who have worked so hard behind scenes that you never get to hear about.
Most importantly I have to thank the members of the forum who having selflessly worked day and night to achieve this goal, there are too many to name individually, but they know who they are.
I am very happy and proud to have come so far, thank you. :)

Lookout, I rather feared that was the case and that he was to embarrassed to come back and face us and if you're looking in from the sidelines Steve, YES, that is a challenge. If you can face a classroom full of recalcitrant pupils, I'm sure you can cope with us. We're pussycats ;) ;) ;)

-
Hi Grahame kids in Scotland just finished a two week half term holiday back to school tomorrow.
-
See how we all show concern for our forum members. ;D
-
Caroline you know you don't really mean that you love him to bits ;D ;D ;D ;D
Think she's embarrassed Susie,
Also think we have wandered far away from the topic. :o :o
-
Alias sorry I am a lazy speaker and should have said holidays ;D
I will never say holidays again, just hols! I might impress some people with it, and at the same time put a smoke screen around my dimness! ;) Win-win!

Maggie off to the naughty step again :'(
-
I will never say holidays again, just hols! I might impress some people with it, and at the same time put a smoke screen around my dimness! ;) Win-win!
Alias you are one amazing lady. I can't speak English, with having a Yorkshire twang. I think its brilliant that you are not English speaking and yet here you are with all the NUTTS on the Bamber forum.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
How many languages do you speak, if you don't mind me asking. ;)

LOL, I guess I´m a nutter too apart from being dim!
I speak six languages fluently, two additional not so fluently and understand a couple more. I guess that is quite a bit, but languages come easily to me, I think because I come from a bilingual home, it developes some center in the brain.
As English speaking persons, you don´t NEED to learn other languages!
-
Oh I do,Alias----------Esperanto.It covers a few languages.

You can stop making excuses for yourself. The truth is YOU'RE BRILLIANT, admit it :D :D :D
-
Oh I do,Alias----------Esperanto.It covers a few languages.
I had an aunt who was all into Esperanto. It never really became that successful, but the idea is good, maybe one day.
Most crazy thing is that deaf people don´t use the same sign language worldwide - I thought they did, but no!
-
You can stop making excuses for yourself. The truth is YOU'RE BRILLIANT, admit it :D :D :D
I am being a little defiant, I guess. Yesterday I was labelled dim (partially my own fault) and NOT ENGLISH, so I wouldn´t understand....
Just playing around, and I will stop NOW.
-
april Alias makes me feel inadequate can't even speak one language well :'(

Susan, I'll admit to being FAIRLT fluent in English. I WAS very fluent in French, but like one or two other things, if you don't use it, you lose it ;) and my Latin is reduced to 'mo 'mas 'mat 'marmus 'martus 'mant. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
And my shorthand alphabet is nearly non-existant-------P B T D CHAY JAY KAY GAY EFF VEE ITH THEE ESS CEE ISH ZEE ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
april I would think you speak well as you have a wonderful way with words. Yorkshire folk miss out all the articles as we are lazy speakers but we understand each other when I moved to Scotland nobody could understand me and I could not understand them. Did French but forgot all I never did learn ;D ;D ;D

I have moved all of the off-topic convo from last night into this thread. I will leave it on the main board so that if anyone feels the need to go off topic (which I know is highly unusual) you can simply come here for a bita banta and rabbit till your hearts content. ;)
-
Bita banta.
Bit of banter. ;D
Took me too long to work that out.

I just wrote it phonetically, that's how I say it anyway!! ;D
-
I grant that it was said in the report but why did the raid team not put what Adam's should have told them in their original statement. Why leave the most important bit out? :P :P :P :P
The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.
-
Now, what's the difference between an invisible, incorporeal, floating dragon who spits heatless fire and no dragon at all? If there's no way to disprove my contention, no conceivable experiment that would count against it, what does it mean to say that my dragon exists? Your inability to invalidate my hypothesis is not at all the same thing as proving it true. Claims that cannot be tested, assertions immune to disproof are veridically worthless, whatever value they may have in inspiring us or in exciting our sense of wonder. What I'm asking you to do comes down to believing, in the absence of evidence, on my say-so.

What hypothesis and who is this aimed at?
-
We wish to find the truth, no matter where it lies. But to find the truth we need imagination and skepticism both. We will not be afraid to speculate, but we will be careful to distinguish speculation from fact.

Aye!
-
One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge -- even to ourselves -- that we've been so credulous. (So the old bamboozles tend to persist as the new bamboozles rise.)

You can get into a habit of thought in which you enjoy making fun of all those other people who don't see things as clearly as you do. We have to guard carefully against it.

The sayings of Hartley No Bits ;D ;D
-
You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep seated need to believe.
-
For me, it is far better to grasp the world as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying or reassuring.
-
Who resurrected Confucius onto the forum? :)

Our perceptions are fallible. We sometimes see what isn't there. We are prey to optical illusions. Occasionally we hallucinate. We are error-prone.
-
You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep seated need to believe.
Depends on the believer, whether their mind is open or closed imo.

Some information is classified legitimately; as with military hardware, secrecy sometimes really is in the national interest. Further, military, political, and intelligence communities tend to value secrecy for its own sake. It's a way of silencing critics and evading responsibility - for incompetence or worse. It generates an elite, a band of brothers in whom the national confidence can be reliably vested, unlike the great mass of citizenry on whose behalf the information is presumably made secret in the first place. With a few exceptions, secrecy is deeply incompatible with democracy.

Not really. Some things are created and some things are made. If you believe in a God then only he/she can created. Which means to make something out of nothing. To make something, like an apple pie you only use the ingredients that have already been created. ;D

The idea that God is an oversized white male with a flowing beard, who sits in the sky and tallies the fall of every sparrow is ludicrous. But if by 'God,' one means the set of physical laws that govern the universe, then clearly there is such a God. This God is emotionally unsatisfying... it does not make much sense to pray to the law of gravity. ;)

You see, the religious people — most of them — really think this planet is an experiment. That's what their beliefs come down to. Some god or other is always fixing and poking, messing around with tradesmen's wives, giving tablets on mountains, commanding you to mutilate your children, telling people what words they can say and what words they can't say, making people feel guilty about enjoying themselves, and like that. Why can't the gods leave well enough alone? All this intervention speaks of incompetence. If God didn't want Lot's wife to look back, why didn't he make her obedient, so she'd do what her husband told her? Or if he hadn't made Lot such a shithead, maybe she would've listened to him more. If God is omnipotent and omniscient, why didn't he start the universe out in the first place so it would come out the way he wants? Why's he constantly repairing and complaining? No, there's one thing the Bible makes clear: The biblical God is a sloppy manufacturer. He's not good at design, he's not good at execution. He'd be out of business if there was any competition.

Looks good. :)
Had to strain out me own pips - lot of work and it might taste of nothing. I shall let you all know if it is superior to the packet variety. Bet you can't wait ...... but you'll just have to!! ;D ;D

As long as it's got 'No-Bits' in it, I'm sure it will be lovely. :)

Yeah right, Stephen King was going to write a novel based on what comes out of my oven - last I saw of him, he had his head in his hands and I could just about make out the muffled cry of "For the love of god!" as he headed for the hills. So no, maybe not next year - maybe the year after though ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've never said any of those things. Unfortunately some people assume too much. It was you who first mentioned creation. I was only accommodating your apparent beliefs. I was also stressing that to make an apple pie from scratch you need not re-create the who universe in order to do it. You would only have to use certain elements that have been created already. So the illustration breaks down at that point. ;)

What? Your cabbage? :-X ;D ;D ;D

I was also stressing that to make an apple pie from scratch you need not re-create the who universe in order to do it. You would only have to use certain elements that have been created already. So the illustration breaks down at that point. ;)
You're right because Mr Kipling has that one well sussed!! ;)
-
You see, the religious people — most of them — really think this planet is an experiment.
It never ceases to amuse me how those who profess to be atheists always seem to fly off the handle as soon as God is mentioned. Yet none of then really understand what Christians truly believe. They assume too much. We are here on this planet for a fleeting second. Yet some profess to know everything there is in this universe. Now who is the more arrogant? Christians, or atheists. At least I don't profess to "know" the entire universe and all its mysteries as you clearly do?
ps: If you are really interested in what we believe then I'll be prepare to inform you in private. But clearly you know all things already. So I won't waste any more space on this forum just to continue a clearly fruitless argument. :)

Talking of flying off the handle, nearly every single post I have made in this thread, including the two religiously themed efforts and the apple pie one, are simply quotes from a chap named Carl Sagan, he was quite an interesting guy.
Perhaps a course in self importance wouldn't go amiss hey? ???

No not really. Graham found you prickly whereas you were making me feel tingly with what I thought were works of a creative genius :D
;D ;D ;D Yes its funny how those that believe JB innocent talk about lack of evidence and yet don't seem to see the argument re a lack of evidence over the existence of 'God'.
Yes good thanks. Got over my hissy fit from the other day. Had well meaning posters pm suggesting all manner of things ranging from legacy issues from being adopted ::) :o to pre-menstrual tension ::) :o to sexual frustration ::) :o In reality I just felt mischievous and bored ;D ;D ;D but hey ho I guess it added something new for posters to speculate about and made a change from JB and Maddie :)

Hahaha. And all because I disagreed with you on the making of an apple pie. ;D

Well, that seems to prove that then!! The meaning of life is ......... an apple pie!! All hail to the pie. No wonder there was so much trouble over Adam eating that apple - it was MEANT FOR THE PIE!! Idiot!! ::)

Hahaha. And all because I disagreed with you on the making of an apple pie. ;D
I think it was mainly because you 'flew off the handle' whilst accusing someone of making accusations and flying off the handle.
I made a joke, you didn't get it, flew off the handle and went all crazy Jesus on us, now you're a bit embarrassed, feel a bit stupid and are trying to save face by kicking me.
Fine, if you think it helps. :-\

What on earth are you talking about? I do believe it should be you who must feel embarrassed? You blew everything out of proportion. Here is your original post, then my post and then your reply.
If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe. ???
Not really. Some things are created and some things are made. If you believe in a God then only he/she can created. Which means to make something out of nothing. To make something, like an apple pie you only use the ingredients that have already been created. ;D
Now yours again. I introduced none of this.
I did not reply. But you then posted again. You see hartley none of the ranting was instigated by me. But rather I was attacked by you. Now who is the one who should feel embarrassed?

Well I really must end this. I tried to before. But you insisted on having the last word and of course backed up by your trusty ally NN. But I must call it a day on this subject. For there is the very likely danger in myself being villified as the forum's religious fanatic who opposes free speech and is trying to suppress the free thinking of man. ::)

It's not a problem, really. Sheesh. ::)

A celibate clergy is an especially good idea, because it tends to suppress any hereditary propensity toward fanaticism.

As it stands at the moment no. If you can provide me with evidence to the contrary I'm all ears. Same applies to religion - show me the evidence - I'm all ears :)

Yes there is evidence that a religiosity gene exists. However I think we have seen how suppression of normal and healthy sex drive can manifest in unhealthy ways.

I asked if by saying that, whether you believe JB to be guilty then?

-
Hi Grahame
As it stands at the moment no. If you can provide me with evidence to the contrary I'm all ears. Same applies to religion - show me the evidence - I'm all ears :)
NN I have always counted it futile to argue the existence of God, as it always will fall on deaf ears. I have discovered a long time ago that unbelief is stronger than evidence. Rather the ball is in your court on that one. Since 99% of the world's population believe in some kind of god. Therefore it is up to the atheist to prove that there is no god, as they are in the minority. Yet will rather trust in their god of science. But even if you do trust in science to give you all the answers, the history of science shows that it is always changing its mind on most things when other scientists challenge the "facts" which had been "discovered". Actually there are many proofs that God exists. But I'm afraid they will be lost on you.
Do you honestly think that I was born a Christian? I too was once like you. But Christ came into my life and I was, to use a Biblical expression, "Born anew". To quote those well known words of Jesus, (through fear I admit that it might be taken as, God forbid as "preaching" to you. But I must quote these words in orfder to explain why I believe in Christ) "Except a man be born again he cannot SEE the kingdom of God." He continues, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." When I was born anew I saw all things clearly.
The atheist cannot answer those vital questions as to why we are hear. Indeed they cannot even discuss evolution without using the word "creation" as hartley has already demonstrated in his quote from the famous Carl Sagan.
The artical that you posted is indeed a silly presumption as I can name many scientists and writers both past and present who were both extremely intelligent as well as being Christians.
There is indeed a spiritual side to man that needs to believe in God and everyone has this. If they do not believe in the true God then they always replace Him with something else that is prescious to them. But the need to believe in a greater being, a creator is always there. In my own experience I have found atheists to be very paranoid when it comes to "religion". This is demonstrated when thay rant and rave when someone even mentions the being of God. Then they blame it on the Christian and say that it is they who are ranting and raving. But as you can see I have carried on a reasonable argument without ranting or raving. I've just given you a reason for my faith in Christ. And it is my desire that not only you, but the whole world should have this sure hope in themselves.

It appears that you are much more anti aetheist than aetheists are anti-religion.
You are also very presumptious, I would consider myself agnostic rather than aethiest.
You could choose to pray to the big pink pixie in the sky for all I care, the manner in which you have unnecessarily defended your own faith, which was neither attacked or even questioned, is telling. I can't speak for others, but I have about as much interest in your religious beliefs, as I do in finding out what you had for breakfast.
I would also question your 99% figure.

The figure are wrong that I quoted. Here are the correct ones: As of 2005 (most recent data), approximately 88 percent of the world's population were said to "believe in God" (Cambridge University). This is down from 96 percent in 2000. In the United States, 95 percent of the population "believe in God."
Indeed I am not presumptious. I am speaking from my own experience. I am anti no one, as I myself were once as you are now and I do not presume to be better than you. But I do profess to HAVE something better than you.

Many thanks for the explanation and sharing your views Grahame. I was surprised to learn that 99.9% of the world's population believe in some kind of God. Do you have anything you can post up to support this assertion. Without wishing to sound flippant many see their football team/players as God.

But I have no interest in your experiences, or your claims of, well anything really.
The very fact that you feel the need to defend your position, which wasn't questioned or alluded to, is telling and shows considerable arrogance and pomposity. In my opinion.

See my last post NN. I would actually question those numbers from Cambridge university as I think they researched those people who believe in one god. But add to that all those who believe in pantheism and a general spirit of the universe. I rather think the percentage will go much higher.
My I also add that I think the church is wrong on many levels. Christianity was not meant to rule the world as it is. The church and those professing to be Chriatians and have committed extremely wicked acts in the name of Christ are wrong. Anyone can find this out for themselves by reading the New Testament. Christ said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were of this world then would my servants fight" So if you judge me please don't judge me in the light of the world "church". But on wjat the NT says.

Not really. I don't feel any need to defend my position hartley. Just a need to correct your eroneous thinking.
I repeat what I have said before. I believe you to be more intelligent than me. I just wish you would use it in regard to the matter in hand and not continue to rely upon silly reasoning.
-

Yes, what would be the definition of believing in god, or 'A God'.?
People can have faith, without being religious.

Are talking about the Carl Sagan quotes which I put up?

NN you haven't answered my question on this yet. I asked if by saying that, whether you believe JB to be guilty then?
Hi Grahame
I thought I had answered your question on this.
We all perceive things differently based on genetics and environment. Based on my own research, personal experiences and lack of evidence to the contrary I do not believe JB is guilty and I do not believe in any God or religion but I do believe that differing views of others are just as valid as my own :)
-
Yes, what would be the definition of believing in god, or 'A God'.?
People can have faith, without being religious.
Which of course is what I have said already. People have a need to believe in a god. Even if it is something close to their hearts. In other words they have a tendency to "replace" God in their lives with something else. I am not religious. I am a believer in Christ which is described as "the way, the truth and the life". The word "Christians" was a nickname given by unbelievers in the first century.

Where's the evidence that people have a need to believe in a God or "replace" God with something else?
I don't feel a need to believe in God or replace this lack of belief with something else.

But nobody is arguing with you, in fact nobody has displayed that they even care, you've blindly stumbled into a position where you think you are arguing with people who were arguing against the existence of religion.
You appear to have a deep seated desire to force your own views on others, no matter how often you are told that people are not interested.
Then to quote some figures in an attempt to suggest that you are not alone, in order to some how support the argument that you are having on your own, is quite bizarre.
The irony is not lost on me that the same term for a congregation of sheep is used for a congregation of church goers.

Here's another one: Every one of us is, in the cosmic perspective, precious. If a human disagrees with you, let him live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another.
Or for further reading see here: http://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/10538.Carl_Sagan
If there is no God hartley then why are we "precious"? Why is life precious? If you work atheism out to its logical conclusion then none of this means anything and we could do what we like. It was certainly true in communist China and communist Russia and North Korea, where Christians were and are persecuted without mercy. Yes I agree with that quote, especially the "If a human disagrees with you, let him live." bit. So why continue this tyrade against me just because I think differently to you. So. I am a Christian believe. What is that to you? And all because of an apple pie. I don't fret over the fact that you are an atheist, or agnostic or whatever you decribe yourself as. I just cannot see why any atheist should feel threatened because of my faith, if they are so sure that God does not exist. I have been in your position concerning this subject. So I know all the arguments. Well I do know why atheist rant and rage. But that is a different branch of the subject. ;D
-

I don't feel a need to believe in God or replace this lack of belief with something else.
The evidence is in all that I have said NN. Search your own heart and also do a bit of your own research into the subject. But it is evident that many worship different things in their own lives. I will go no further than that. Just try searching your own heart and ask some vital questions about yourself and you may find what you are oooking for in an answer to your own question.

But I'm not an aetheist, nor was I aware that they are prone to ranting and raving, in MY experience they are not.
It would appear that the only person who has been ranting and raving here, is your good self, which again in MY experience is also consistent with people who consider themselves aligned with a particular faith or religion.

That was a good post,,Grahame.
I'm a " non-believer ",but have great respect for the Bible as a book,,because it was written by a very clever man. Though written thousands of years ago,,it foretold happenings that we see today,,,much the same as George Orwell and his visions of the future.
I've read one or two books by Arthur Clarke, and made comparisons to the Bible,,and in some instances,,Clarke got my vote with his predictions of the past and present.
My own belief is a visual thing,,and not to something I can't see. The sun and water to keep earth alive,,and no amount of praying will halt nature and its disasters.
Saying that,,I would personally say that Christian/Religious schools for infants/primary are a good thing.
One of my great granddaughters' attends a Catholic primary school and has been there since the age of three,,she's five now,,and she is a more calm child than her siblings,,more sensible and different in many ways.,one or two of the teachers are Irish,,softly spoken and patient which does have a calming effect on the children.
We're not a Catholic family,,as this was the only school available at the time. However,,it's certainly done no harm and it's a pity that her siblings didn't also attend the same school.
At first,,I thought all the statues and effigies would freak her out,,but they don't appear to have bothered her. Her favourite pop group.? Abba. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Remember. You started this argument hartley. You certainly appear to be interested or you wouldn't have carried it on so long demanding to know further things? As for me I was content to leave it a few pages back. But you kept coming back with another argument. I'm happy to leave here. As I was way back, when I suggested that we were way off topic. Hartley. I am settled in my faith in Christ. I have found the answer to life. What about you my friend? ;)
ps: yes. Sheep. Two things are most noticable. (1) They will only follow one shepherd. (2) They will often follow each other, even to destruction. Foolish sheep often.

Morning lookout
excellent post lookout most of which I agree with :)

Morning lookout

Morning Susan. I'm glad you enjoyed it. ;D My mind is wandering a bit at the moment because of my family in NSW,,and those terrible bush-fires close to them. They're all okay,,but frightened. :(

As for me I was content to leave it a few pages back. But you kept coming back with another argument. I'm happy to leave here. As I was way back, when I suggested that we were way off topic. Hartkey. I am settled in my faith in Christ. I have found the answer to life. What about you my friend? ;)
I didn't start any argument.
I was putting up some random, although pertinant quotes from a rather clever and amusing chap who is sadly no longer with us, then you decided to wade in and force your religious views on everybody.
You then went further and started forming arguments against atheism, as if your your beliefs had been questioned and rubbished to such an extent that you just had to defend them, if not for yourself then for the other 99.9% of the world population.
The reality is that I'm not particularly anti or pro religion, and that alone completely throws your arguments which you had formed and presented.
I'm not responsible for starting or continuing an argument on a subject which by my very nature I cannot participate in. I would loosely describe myself as agnostic, so if you want to argue the existence of your god or any other deity, then you will ultimately be forming a circular argument with yourself.
As your final point, which you strangely appear to think is some sort of triumphant gloat, all I can say is that I have no particular interest in whether you are 'settled in your faith' or not. Whilst your concerns for myself may seem very 'Christian', they are wholly unneccesary, but then you do unneccesary very well indeed.
Perhaps your sipping from the holy grail has had a detrimental impact on your humility. :-\
-
lookout I did wonder if your family were affected and I can understand your concern :(

Morning Lookout. It must be an awful fear with those fires which tend to happen every year. I hope your family are kept safe and well...I will email my friend to see how he is, I've not heard from him this week the one who does the magazine. They could do with some of our rain... :) :) :) :)

Whatever your agenda, it was an excellent post. I have on several occasions found myself wandering through the thick mud of rumour/conjecture put forward by supporters. It does Jeremy's cause no favours.
-
I will just say this. I have known the case from the beginning and as soon as I heard the verdict it didn't sit right with me. I felt that something just didn't tie in. Especially when I found the case being discussed on here all these years later and discovered that the jury was not in full possession of the facts. That either some evidence was apparently either witheld from the jury. Or was not available at the time.
Then to discover that although appeals were still in process an enormous amount of evidence had been destroyed by the police, including tapes of conversations that could either confirm or deny certain disputed documents. Too much of a coincidence if you ask me? There are of course doubts in my mind as to his guilt or innocence. But that which I particularly dislike about our "justice" system is the "deals" the police make with key witnesses so that these people eg: JM in this case get off without a blight on their character and can go on to be looked at as models of the community.
I believe that our justice system should be just that. A "justice" system. where everything is transparent and that justice is seen to be done. To label so called supporters imbeciles as a certain group of people have done in the past and as far as I know still do and much worse and even threaten those who believe JB to be innocent I personally find obnoxious. That kind of person does themselves no favours. These are the things that I oppose. But having said all that, he may indeed be guilty? The Hall confession made me think that whilst a person may profess their innocence and appear to be upright and honest, even to fool his wife. But still be a psychopath who had come to believe his own lies. So at the moment my feet are in both camps. The human heart truly is deceitdul about all things and desparately wicked. And to quote Will Shakespeare, "A man may smile and smile and be a villian".
Another brilliant post.....and from Lookout... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Grahame not wishing to sound like the forum's parrot another honest excellent post. I can understand people believe different things about the case but this is what forum's are all about for each of us to post our thoughts and debate in a sensible way and maybe gain knowledge from each other which enforce our belief's or otherwise. We all have rights to our own thoughts as long as we stay respectful to all concerned when we express them. Off for my seed now ;D ;D ;D

Grahame sorry if I came over wrong I have always thought you one of the nicest most respectful posters on the forum. I offer my sincere apologies if I have caused offence as the bit about posting with respect was directed at myself. I will be totally honest I sometimes get carried away and my posts come over wrong. So so sorry Grahame :-* Parrots are short of grey matter ;D and my fingers are working faster than the poor tired brain :'(

Okay godly one. :P
I'm not godly or even moral hartley. Neither do I think myself to be better than everyone else. Certainly not better than you. I'm just see myself as a sinner that has been saved. A Christian believer is not someone who is better than anyone else. But someone who is better than he would be if he were not a Christian. You are of course right when you say that I need a lesson in humility. I believe I need several lessons.
