Title: Killer Dies In Jail
Post by: campion on February 15, 2013, 04:57:PM
I saw this today in Tolleshunt D'arcy outside the newsagents. The Essex Chronicle poster headline
' Double Killer Dies In Jail '. Considering the significance of Tolleshunt D'arcys local history, the headline must carry more impact with locals !!!!!!!

No sympathy from me.

No sympathy from me either, I believe it refers to a murderer who killed his former partner and their child from Braintree and He was given a thirty year sentence last year at Chelmsford Crown Court. I understand He took His own life and that was His intention when He killed His Family.

That might be another one then, I was referring to David Oakes. Apparently the HMP Frankland prisoner died in hospital on Monday at 3.19 am.

I'm talking about this guy....but please don't read it, if you get upset...I read it and certain parts of it made me feel sick inside...... :'( :'( :'(

The point I was trying to raise, and it has been aided by Patti's addition is there is no sympathy for the two murderers mentioned . Both were involved in the murder of children. The significance is what do villager's in Tolleshunt D'arcy think of the newspaper headline because it is clearly aimed at them ? And Bamber maintains He is innocent !

Campion, it is also significant that the two men in this case admitted their crimes. Both of them are gone now...

Why is it aimed at those that live in Tolleshunt D'arcy.?   :-\ :-\ :-\ ;)

Its heart breaking maggie....I also heard about a case today at work, where a 4 year old was starved of water...What are the social workers doing to protect these children...mores the point, what are the neighbours doing?  sickening and depressing... :'( :'( :'( :'(

I think the social workers are doing their best Patti.  Some of these abusers are very clever at hiding stuff.  I agree about the neighbours tho', if these people aren't reported then no one knows.
My daughter is working in a new intervention role which has just been set up.  They get in early before they become Child Protection cases and are very hands on.  If it just helps one child, it's worth having imo.

White House Farm is within a mile and a half of the newsagents. The headline could also be interpreted as of local interest, until the article is read it isn't clear who died in jail.

I think there should be a massive call on the public Maggie, to have a duty of care to help protect children.  Walls are not thin and children cry out when they are hurting, surely neighbours can hear this going off....Sadly its a case of I don't want to get involved, but to me they are involved when they can hear children being abused and they should report it, if not then they are just as guilty for letting this kind of thing happen.  The parents have a duty of care too...the buck lays with them.

Social workers, sadly can;t be held responsible, can they really.  They can't watch everyone....its a tough job maggie......Anybody who works in child protection has not got an easy job. There will be mistakes! sadly!   :( :( :( :(

Yes, if people don't report when they hear children being abused then they are to blame too.  I have a friend who did just that.  The matter was sorted very quickly.

If the point is taken a stage further, the Witham MP Patel openly flags up Her involvement in Bambers appeal attempts. If it was Jeremy who had died on Monday morning, this wouldn't have been a local story. The newsagents is on the main road in the district. Unless someone has knowledge of White House Farm, which not every person driving past does, it may be wrongly assumed it was Bamber who died in jail. As He is involved in the ECHR ruling on a full life tariff meaning He dies in Jail unless new evidence is found to prove His innocence. He is a Big News Item. One day the headline could be applicable to Him. The media scrum involving local politicians will be intense. How many votes is Jeremy Bamber worth, Law and Order is one of the big three at a General Election. Tough on Crime and Tough on the causes of Crime, I think thats the Political soundbite.

Doesn't mean a thing,BD. Big headaches go with big priced houses,,maintenance if they're Graded buildings,,Council Tax and the usual Utility bills,,,so you'd have to work hard for the upkeep of them.

I have no sympathy for him either however I wished that he had spent longer in prison before his death.  Apparently he died of natural causes, and was supposed to have cancer.  In November of last year, the Court of Appeal refused to quash the whole-life sentence on him.  What I found interesting was that he made an attempt on his own life after the shootings, shooting himself in the neck/face area and survived.

Regardless of protection wings etc if another prisoner/s wants to get you they will get you, its all just a matter of timing.  There are a lot of lifers in prison who have nothing to lose as they know they are not getting released, so they wouldnt think twice of killing someone like Subham Anwar.

From what I've heard, the majority of prisoners believe in JB's innocence. I believe this to be true, otherwise he would be dead by now.

No reader I live in a tenement sandstone.
I'm not sure what that is, but presumably it has windows. If you are double-glazed, it might be easier to get in through the front door if all the windows were locked, but most people don't lock every window. Most front doors can be opened without causing damage.

Title: Re: Killer Dies In Jail
Post by: Reader on February 16, 2013, 03:18:PM
He's just said he has three floors. That suggests a lot of windows that were all closed or inaccessible to a ladder. If he lives alone, that's a large property for just one person. If he doesn't live alone, wouldn't there be another set of keys in the possession of another occupant?

Hi reader the tenement will have three floors but he will only live on one floor which will have kitchen living room bedroom and bathroom that is the norm and if he lives on the top floor would need a firemans ladder to access through the windows so sticks to the door ;D ;D ;D  All the windows would be closed I would suspect ;)

Okay. A typical window-cleaner's ladder would reach the top floor without difficulty. Were all the windows closed? Did anyone else have keys? Did the main entrance door (for the floors you used) automatically deadlock when it closed? Could it be key-operated from the inside?

And you never had the windows cleaned? In any case, was there a window open (or easily openable once a ladder was available)?

Was one of the windows open when you were locked out? (Your local window cleaner could reach it.) You seem reluctant to say.

bigdave1975, why do you keep asking where people live? I don´t think it sits well with anyone.
