Hey BG. I wish you'd just post under your normal forum ID, rather than BG. It's ok. We wont ban you.

She had carte blanche. There was NOBODY who could verify that Jeremy said/did ANYTHING she said he did/said. Weigh all that up against the woman who said "If I can't have you, nobody else will" as she put a pillow over his face.

Maybe the Mugster was projecting her own acting skills onto Jeremy? ;)

It came from Mugford. Your point being? She had to admit it, like she had to admit the bank fraud!! But if you can't see through her by now, you never will.
Sorry Steve, but Mugford's halo has slipped so far down, she uses it as a hoola hoop!!

Julie didn't have to admit it,but she was telling the truth warts and all..

..and let's remember the provenance of that remark: a chuckling Jeremy after he has just hours before killed his adoptive parents, sister and nephews,a Jeremy who was going to dump Julie so we are told but needed her so badly at this point that he asked the Police to bring her down from London privately so he could see her that morning.

It just sounded to me that Jeremy couldn't handle the situation on his own. His " laughter " would be a cover-up to hide his sorrow. Trying to me macho in other words,,but I bet he felt like a lost soul.

He got the police to taxi muggy to him ? now thats somewhat cocksure and arrogant

The police fetched her. The police asked him if there would be anyone he would like with him and he said yes, his girlfriend, like another man would...Well, I think they would. She was the closest to him. :) :) :) :) :)

A choke of distress from someone desperate not to show it could sound very like a chuckle to somebody standing where they can't see them. I suppose you're suggesting that he asked to be alone with JM just so he could giggle about what he'd done?

Come on BG, this is Steve speak, or perhaps I should say, engineering.

No,he asked to be alone with Julie so that he could check the progress of his evil scheme and that it was still intact. He told her in London that he had put his life in her hands, and thought that Julie would be like all the other girls he had previously dated and go along with Jeremy's wishes.

I think the concensus from many is that contrary to what has previously been said, it was Jeremy who danced to the tune of a woman who was prepared to done anything for money. Jeremy actually didn't need to. Unlike JM, he had always had it and was assured of it. Perhaps you could explain your first sentence. Why would he wish to be alone with her "to check on the progress of his evil scheme to see if it was still on track" How the hell, other than supposedly knowing for a full 6months what his plan was, would she know, unless of course, she'd helped him plan it. I can think of no other reason why he should seek her opinion.

You're forgetting the role of the ladies' bicycle in all of this, for which he needed Julie at Bourtree Cottage on Saturday 3rd August.

What people laugh and go on drug deals when they are grief-stricken? I must be missing out on something here.

Don't be funny, hourglass.! Explain your odd explanation please.

does hourglass mean JB's trip to France
-
it's true that most of JB's trip were drug related in many ways.
would appear he did like that jetsetter lifestyle and for that he needed money , wether its was from drugs or an inheritance
-
does hourglass mean JB's trip to France
I don't think so,BG. It's conspicuous by its absence.
-
but even a 'jolly' to france is an odd trip for someone who is grieving

Nothing odd about that,BG. I flew to the other side of the world when my husband died,,,,though it was spur of the moment as I was still grieving. It's just that feeling of getting away from it all. Nothing sinister,,,nor did I murder my husband. You don't have to have committed murder to get away you know.

No it isn't believe me. Sometimes the only way to handle grief is to disappear and get as far as posible from the source of grief. Totally natural if you ask me.
-
Ive seen plenty of grieve and nobody went away on holiday to get away from it all. most grief needs to be taken head-on

My mother didn't take it head on. She did get away from it.

Did the same thing Lugg when my brother committed suicide!!

Rather sweeping statement, that, BG. You should try a stint of grief counselling. Most prefer to believe it hasn't happened in the early stages. It's a form of self protection.
-
its not good to run away from it :'(

My mother had a nervous breakdown as well. Took months to get her to acknowledge what had happened.
-

It wasn't my job as a grief counsellor to tell people what is/isn't good for them. Everyone must be allowed to do what they feel is best for themselves.
-
its not good to run away from it :'(
Perhaps not but everyone handles grief differently. There's no right or wrong way.
