My hubby just heard it on the radio on his way home from work.Do not know if it is true or not? Jeremy says he is going to launch a fresh bid for his freedom.
-
Another JR application, not an application to the CCRC, although I'm sure that will follow at some point after the JR is refused before a full court.

Yes,the press know how to use their pics. They do it to everyone by taking them unawares. Clever.
-
I don't even know what this latest judicial review was about, there have been so many. Was there any specific reason for it?

I take no pleasure in posting it.

It was on BBC East News tonight, something about a new appeal in January, One Judge ruled on the CCRC decision last time. Who is that Judge ?

I bet the photographer was well chuffed to capture that shot. You can do that with anyone if your lucky. Notice how often it's used specially by people with an axe to grind.

In what way Steve? Please explain how you gauge guilt simply from that picture?

Well it was supposed to be a throw-away satirical remark, yet it's curious that several members have perceived a similar sensation. To my mind he looks furtive and shifty as if he's got something to hide.

Hey Steve,I bet you'd look like that too with a camera shoved in your face while you're concentrating on not banging your head getting in the car. Somebody could possibly have shouted out to him at that crucial time.
Then again,I don't think I'd have been over the moon at being convicted of something I didn't do. Nothing to smile about, let's face it.

I don't think they have Steve, they are referring to the way the press manipulates such an impression by using pictures that weren't ... shall we say .... taken from our best side. You might look 'furtive' too if you were snapped unaware by journalist whilst handcuffed to a prison guard on route to or from court.

The camera was 50 yards away and was the only picture anyone managed to get of him at the 2002 appeal, thats why it's used on both positive and negative stories. It was taken by a photographer called Stephen.

Rather an unfair advantage though, being handcuffed and all.

A picture jeremy most likely thought would not be taken , but keeping in line with Britains vile press any photo is better than none.

Re Post #25, thankyou for the additional information. Could it be that, owing to the admitted difficulty in pronunciation, he familiarly refrred to as Steve?
