Title: What time slot would you choose?
Post by: Nickos on August 08, 2012, 11:08:AM
Something to pass the time:

You have a chance to go back in time (any date, any time) and choose a half hour slot to observe only (you cannot be seen or interfere with anything) any relevant case activity that would convince you of the murderers identity, bearing in mind the times the victims were killed is not known.

What specific half hour slot would you choose, where would you be, and why?

e.g 12:30am - 1:00am on 7th August 1985 - in WHF - in the hope the murderer is active and recognisable (of course it could have all been over by this stage, but that would point to JB).

Would a clincher be;

3:00am - 3:30am - in the WHF kitchen - did Nevill make a call or was he already dead?

Got any others?

I raised this very question earlier this year it will be here somewhere, some anti clan thought it was stupid so i assume it still is now.

Hi Mertol, I must have missed your thread/post.

It's just a fantasy moment similar to many other fantasy threads/post by both anti and pro JBers.

Anyway its just a game and means nothing!!  - I don't think its stupid though!

I have often wondered about this.  I have cheated a bit here... but for me the half hour slot would be one from any of the following four:

3.00am - 3.30am -  The events leading to the alleged phone call/s.

7.15am - 7.45am - Just prior to and the immediate aftermath of the raid entrance.

8.15am - 8.45am From the offical discovery of three bodies upstairs to the alleged melee / search.

8.45am - 9.15am - Events in main bedroom.

2:58-3:28am timings and content of phone calls (alleged or otherwise) to/from 9 Head St.

I would only want to see one playback where that spotted figure was a half hour before the police arrived.

But your answer relies on a figure being spotted, and that point is subjective.

Following the game rules you have to be somewhere?

So, you could be standing (invisibly) alongside JB and the two policemen when the alleged spotting took place?

Figure seen - JB innocent

Figure not seen - JB guilty

Figure seen - JB innocent

Figure not seen - JB guilty

I don't agree with this equation. Not seeing a figure from the vantage point of JB / police, does not immediately equate to JB being guilty.

You could also apply this to the  JB /Bews thinking they spotted someone at one of the windows, the figure spotted is in Colins Book, no proof its correct i grant you, but its there, there is nothing anywhere to state for sure the exact timing of those events , this scenario  allows that but even then you may miss it.
