A COMPLAINT by convicted killer Jeremy Bamber about a documentary over his crimes has been rejected by communications watchdog Ofcom.
Bamber was jailed for life in 1986 after he was convicted of murdering his adopted parents June and Neville, sister Sheila Caffell and her six-year-old twin sons Daniel and Nicholas at their farmhouse in Tolleshunt D'Arcy.
He has always protested his innocence and claims his schizophrenic sister shot her family before turning the gun on herself in a remote Essex farmhouse.
Bamber complained after Sky broadcast Killing Mum And Dad: The Jeremy Bamber Story, which examined the police investigation into the crimes.
It included archive footage and photographs of Bamber and contributions from family members, acquaintances, journalists who covered the case and a forensic psychologist Kerry Danes.
The report stated Bamber complained Ms Danes "unfairly and inaccurately portrayed him as a psychopath" despite never having met him.
He also complained the programme "discussed at length, and ridiculed, intimate details about his sexual orientation which had no relevance to the offence of which he was convicted".
The watchdog’s report found although Bamber had a legimitate expectation of privacy, the broadcaster’s right to freedom of expression and the “genuine” public interest in the case against Bamber and his motivation for the murders outweighed any intrusion.

The explanation doesn't really deal with the Kerry Daynes aspect of the complaint in my view. I've not seen the programme so shouldn't really comment on it but I'd like to know how much input the defence was allowed during the making of the programme.

just caught sight of this report a bit earlier and it mentions a reference to jeremy's sexual orientation. given that he had several relationships with women and was often seen in the company of gay male friends are we to imply that he is in actual fact bisexual?

Anyway, wasn't it Robert Boutflour who decided that as JB dared to have a 'gay' friends then by his antiquated reckoning JB must also somehow be bisexual?

Absolutely not. Why would anyone come to that conclusion that he was bisexual? I would say that if he socialised with people of different sexual orientations/preference then he was a non judgemental person which is to be praised and should go in his favour.
Most of us meet and socialise with different people in our lives. We could be socialising and working with people, who we either know to be openly gay or perhaps we have no idea as they are secretly gay, does that mean we are all bisexual?

I went to a party once where the vast majority of people were gay. I'm not gay so it does not indicate one way or the other a persons sexual orientation. I did not feel out of place of not welcome there. No such thoughts entered my head. I just thought they were pleasant people to be with at the time.
